Enjoy an awesome and interactive underwater eco-tour wearing Hartley diving helmets. One's head stays dry. Glasses, contacts, make-up, and big hair are fine. Just walk, breathe and smile. Easier than snorkeling, yet more interactive than scuba diving. Even pet and hold fish while you are having your photo taken! Optional photos for extra charge.

Simply walk down the 9 fooot ladder, which is attached to the boat, and walk on the sandy bottom, right in front of thriving Bermuda coral reefs. Meet and interact with Celebrity Fish: Diana the angelfish, Charles the Hog fish, Donald the grey snapper and many more! Undersea walk lasts approximately 30-40 minutes. Join Greg Hartley for a enlightening, sugar coated biology lesson, that is the most fun ever. We have thick, full length, warm wet suits when water temp is below 80F. Hotel pickup and drop-off not included. The boat docks at Dockyard, by the Moongate where the ships are.

Hartley's Undersea Walk AKA Shallow water helmet diving, is the easiest way to visit the undersea. Just walk smile and breathe.We dive in 11-14 feet of water, on the sandy bottom. Divers hang on to the grab-bar (7' One inch PVC pipe), and are guided about by the fish whisperer, Greg Hartley. Learn about the undersea life, hold or caress trained/tamed Celebrity Fish. Meet George the blue stripped grunt, and Herb the red speckled hind. Dive is 30-40 min, Tour is 3-4 hrs. Wetsuits when water below 80F. Photos and a short video on a thumb drive are available for about $25PP. Experience inspiration.

One of my greatest experiences ever. Family business since 1947 and boy do they know the business, attention to the details, make you feel confident and safe. The fish feel confident around the skip so they allow close contact with us. Can't recommend them enough

This is the best way to see fish and corals with out having to get into scuba gear. It is easy to do. We had a great time learning and seeing and holding the fish, even the eel.

This excursion is the best thing i’ve ever done! I’m 280 pounds and can’t swim and that was not an issue whatsoever. I was not scared once I got into the water. I can’t snorkel well or scuba and this was the perfect solution. I am beyond happy and it was well worth the money. I made friends with a lady in her 70s and she was able to do it also. We were able to walk around on the ocean floor and see many different types of coral. I learned a lot during my time underwater. My only regrets is where i booked through viator I had to pay 30$ for pictures but if i booked through the building on the island and pictures would have been included.

Very disappointed as felt we were back at school. No excitement more like a boring school trip. Also allows animals to dive which in mine and the other people who were diving with us felt was animal cruelty.

Family owned and operated business, couldn’t have been any nicer. Lesson was provided on the short boat trip out to the coral reef. Truly amazing experience for kids and adults!

Greg and his son Ben deliver an unforgettable close encounter with marine life, and, frankly, their lives! The Hartley’s are a multi-generational helmet diving family who INVENTED the concept in the 1920’s. The boat is wonderfully rustic but has all you might need. The lessons learned and the time 10-12 feet under will remain with me in my thoughts and dreams. Captain Greg taught us while submerged to interact with beautiful reef fish as if they were puppies and kittens. All these creatures with distinct personalities and names (like Charles and Diana). This is no booze cruise! The dive made me feel more optimistic about life in general and now I miss my time in the depths. The silence, the beauty, the chance to feel at one with nature. Highly recommend if only to feel the beautiful eel grace your palms with its velvet.

My husband and I recently did this excursion in Bermuda. Helmet diving was amazing. We were unsure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. It was a surreal experience. There was an abundance of coral and fish. We were able to hold a few fish and an eel. If you get the chance, you should give it a try.
