Hartley's Crocodile Adventures
Located north of Cairns, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is the best place to see crocodiles and Australian wildlife in Tropical North Queensland. Walk along the timber boardwalks and pathways, through woodlands and rainforest to see an array of tropical birds, reptiles, insects and other native fauna. Start your adventure with a boat cruise exploring the Melaleuca wetlands, home to the estuarine (saltwater) crocodile. Then, explore the different zones of the park at your leisure. There are entertaining and educational wildlife presentations to enjoy each day. (See below for times.) Watch the notorious ‘head shake’ and ‘death roll’ at the Crocodile Attack educational show, see some of the world’s most venomous snakes, and help feed the koala’s and cassowaries. Shows & Feeding times conducted by the parks qualified keepers. • 2.00pm Snake Show • 2.30pm Wetlands Cruise • 3.00pm Crocodile Attack Show • 4.15pm Cassowary feeding with a keeper • 4.30pm Koala feeding with a keeper Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is a long time accredited member of Ecotourism Australia and is the only wildlife park in Australia to be located within and surrounded by UNESCO World Heritage listed forest.

5.00This was very much worth seeing, the staff were quite knowledgeable and friendly, the animals appeared well cared for, and the facility was laid out very well, it felt much larger than it is, but all the areas were very easy to walk to in a short time. We saw the snake and croc attack shows, and did the lagoon boat ride.

5.00Great day at Hartleys. 4 hours was more than enough for adults. Kids probably need the whole day to take in all the presentations. The koalas slept and the kangaroos were so cute. We loved that they were not caged and you could pet them. Our driver was great….. offered lots of sightseeing on the way and kept us safe. Definitely worth it!

5.00A great family day out with plenty to see and do, as a bonus if you have young kids who get over the walk quickly is your ticket is valid for three days so you can go again the next day. The crocodile demonstration’s were informative and great to watch and very entertaining. A must do is also the lagoon boat ride where they feed the crocodile from the boat.

3.00In the afternoon 1 hour top would be enough. For us it was better boring. If you don't arrive in the morning, you miss many of the scheduled programs start hourly.

3.00The activity claimed to start at 11:45 but actually, we only arrived at Harley's around 13:15. The departure time is 16:45 which left us not much time exploring the park after the boat ride and croc attack show. It would be good if pick up can start earlier.

4.00The crocodile show was interesting, but I wasn't crazy about the crocodile baiting. However, they do seem to take very good care of the animals otherwise.
