Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
While most of the visit will be spent here! We will cover all popular stops with commentary. The following areas will be visited: Volcano House, Visitor Center, Kilauea overlook of the Halemaumau Crater, steam vents and sulfur dioxide banks, Kilauea Iki Crater, Laumanu Crater and Nahuku lava tube.
Hilo Farmers Market
The largest and locally grown vegetables and fruits are available in Hilo Farmers market that is conveniently located in the Historical Hilo Town. Guests are given an hour for lunch in this area full of restaurants and local shops.

5.00We knew on meeting Justin at the port,that we were in for a great day ,as his warm & friendly Aloha greeting made us feel welcome to his island home. Once on the road in an exceptionally clean tour bus ,it became very apparent that Justin was extremely knowledgable about our destinations & his enthusiasm shown through. Our 1st stop was the Volcano National Park which has a great visitor centre & gave us the opportunity to get close ,but not too close to one of the worlds most active volcanos. Next to The Rainbow Falls where we had the chance to take some great pictures. After lunch we visited the Macadamia Nut factory ,getting to sample the nuts & coffee. Our day ended by the beach where we got to see turtles on the black sand beach. Finally we have to say we met as strangers but left feeling like friends. Justin if you or your family are ever in Scotland we would be more than happy to be your tour guides . Ian & Janice

5.00Wonderful time! Loved the small group making it more friendly and intimate. Justin was awesome. He is friendly, funny and very knowledgeable, making this tour great. Highly recommended should you ever go to Hilo look up Justin with Makaio Tours.

5.00Justin was the definition of ALOHA. Every stop on the Hilo tour was catered to provide spectacular moments and memories for all. Justin's native knowledge coupled with his humor made for a perfect learning experience. This was a day I will always cherish.

5.00Not sure we could have seen more in a tour. Justin our tour guide was so engaging and fun. From volcanoes to sea turtles, we got to witness things we never see on a regular basis. One of the best things we have done. Loved this adventure
