Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

While most of the visit will be spent here! We will cover all popular stops with commentary. The following areas will be visited: Volcano House, Visitor Center, Kilauea overlook of the Halemaumau Crater, steam vents and sulfur dioxide banks, Kilauea Iki Crater, Laumanu Crater and Nahuku lava tube.

The largest and locally grown vegetables and fruits are available in Hilo Farmers market that is conveniently located in the Historical Hilo Town. Guests are given an hour for lunch in this area full of restaurants and local shops.

We loved our day with Justin! He was a fount of interesting information about Hawaii’s history and culture and especially about volcanic activity at Hilo. He made us laugh, and truly cared about each member of our group. I highly recommend him as a guide - the day was memorable and in terms of spirit and sense of fun - just perfect.

A great way to get to know the must-see sites in Hilo and understand Hawaiian culture, even with just one day to visit (we were coming in on a cruise, so time was tight). Always enjoy it when it is with smaller groups. Justin was great! His knowledge was wonderfully insightful yet entertaining. Always nice when they make it fun to learn. Getting around you always felt safe. Not only because of how he shows his care for his vehicle but how he is always looking out for those around him. Be it people or wildlife. Hello piggies. The time at the volcano park is well spent. Time at the waterfall, beach, Hilo, and bonus places we were able to sneak in were just enough. Made for an extremely fun filled day.
