Stavros was a personable guide and very knowledgeable about the city of Heraklion. We saw some unique architecture and learned some local, Crete and Greek history. The gyros were fabulous, as was the bougatsa. As if that wasn't enough food , we then sat down to a full meal of fried cheese, bread, salad, potatoes, egg plant in tomato sauce, fried zucchini, chicken and lamb, etc. There was so much food! We had no room left for icecream! Stavros served us a good bottle of wine on the way back to the hotel and gave us a lovely bottle of his of his very own olive oil. We would highly recommend this tour for a great sampling of Cretan food.

We had the best time on the food tour with Starvos! We instantly became “his people” and had many laughs. The food was all wonderful and plentiful. Not only did we learn about food, we learned of the culture and had a great mini tour of the city center. We definitely recommend spending an evening doing the food tour.

I had an excellent time on this tour. There were 2 couples with me and we hit it off great. Stavros was a very entertaining guide and the choices for the food were all very tasty. He took us to 4 different places to try 4 different types of food with plenty to drink. I really enjoyed how proud Stavros was to be a Certian. He was engaging and very pleasant.

Stavros was amazing. His knowledge of Crete was vast and the food that we had on the tour was wonderful - the lamb at the end was exceptional 😁 Highly recommend the tour and thanks again!

Did the Tour solo due to my wife having twisted an ankle and unable to walk. The Guide Stavros was excellent! His knowledge being a life long resident of the Food and History were very impressive. He was also very personable and fun. Food in all five stops were excellent and quite filling. If in Heraklion and want to spend time on Fine Food, Wine and History this is your spot. Enjoy

Ed(ucation) is one in a million! We cannot thank him enough for a truly authentic Cretan experience. He really did make our day special. You will not find another trip like it! This was the best food tour we have ever been on. Our guide (Stavros) mixed history, culture, architecture, and food into one tour. Stavros took us to local places we could never have found. Being a local, he has an exceptional grasp of the detailed history and culture. Plus, he was incredibly entertaining and demonstrated the hospitality the Greeks are known for. My wife and I (from Philadelphia) highly, highly recommend this tour.

Amazing tour and driver Mik was the best! We opted for a private customized tour and he picked us and dropped us by the ship! Very reasonably priced for 6 hour tour! Highly recommended 👌

This wonderful and unique tour was everything you could ask for. It had everything from learning a bit of history, enjoying local wines, and AMAZING food. Stavros is an excellent host and guide; he makes the tour very personable and customizable to his guests. Highly recommended if you want to explore Heraklion and experience true Cretan food!
