Schloss Wildenwart

In the middle of the idyllic foothills of the Alps only a few kilometres from Lake Chiemsee is the historic castle ensemble Wildenwart. After the assumption of power by the revolutionary government, the Bavarian royal family, including Ludwig III, met at Wildenwart Castle, which was to become the new home for the Wittelsbach family. In 1979, Max Herzog in Bavaria, great-grandson of Ludwig III, moved with his family into the castle, which can be visited from the outside.

Carl was wonderful. Not only did he keep us safe driving on the autobahn, but he made sure that we knew where to go. It was a long day but so enjoyable with his knowledge. Thank you, Carl!

Nice cruise to the island, and the palace was very nice. Took the horse drawn cart to the palace, and had a very nice lunch.

Stephen was a fabulous guide for our private trip to Ludwig II third palace and Salzburg. In spite of occasional showers, he got us to the correct ferries and on the next English tour. We had a lovely lunch stop at charming neighboring island. Then, special stops at Sound of Music locations and a walking tour of old town Salzburg - with plenty of history along the way! It was a great day thanks to Stephen! Highly recommend any tour with him!

Thomas was our guide and we enjoyed him and the tour so much! The private tour was so relaxing and we learned so much!! Thomas went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed and were comfortable. We would HIGHLY recommend the private tour!!

Stephen was fantastic. Even after the tour he took around to important sites in munich. We got to see surfers in munich!
