Akumal Beach
Our second stop is the picturesque beach community of Akumal. Its laidback atmosphere, natural beauty and abundant marine life provide the perfect environment for some of the best snorkeling available in the Mayan Riviera. Joined by your informative guide you’ll have the opportunity to discover all the wonders that lay below the surface such as a huge variety of tropical fish, colorful coral and, of course, the sea turtles that call Akumal their home.

3.00We were really looking forward to seeing and snorkeling with sea turtles. Because of weather, it did not happen and we got to snorkel in a murky Lagoon. I understand this was not the company‘s fault but still disappointing. The cenote was however, or a delightful experience.

5.00Had a great time with our guide, J.J. and drivers, Richi and Luis! They were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I appreciated all the education from J.J. on the turtles, plants, and the formation of the cenotes. He had a lot to share about Mexico and Mayan culture. Lunch at the beach was delicious and again, all the service was very friendly. Get out of your hotel and support the people in the community and go see some turtles! :)

5.00This trip was so fun! We were picked up from our hotel right on time and greeted with a warm welcome from Richi and Luis. Our guide JJ was so helpful and funny and made the trip great. The Cenote was beautiful and it was so cool seeing the turtles and stingrays. Then to top it off with delicious food at a private beach was amazing. It was a nice small group that got to know each other. There is a $10 admission per person before arriving to the turtles that can be paid in USD or credit. This is an experience that lasts most of the day. We got picked up just before 7am and dropped back off around 3pm We would definitely recommend this tour!

5.00We went to the Mayan Riviera in June and booked a trip to swim in the Cenote. It was a fun experience and we enjoyed learning about it. We snorkeled and saw sea turtles swimming around us. It was amazing! All of the staff were so kind and humorous too! A great way of spending a day of our vacation!

5.00Loved the Cenote and swimming with the sea turtles. A little bit of a sandy day but was still enjoyable. Get all the pictures! I loved being disconnected. Omar was a passionate and knowledgeable guide! 10/10 recommend!

5.00this tour was amazing! we swam in a cenote and then snorkeled with sea turtles!! our tour guides henri and ramses were very knowledgeable and fun!! we then had lunch at a beach club and the burrito was very good!! would recommend 10/10 :

5.00We returned to Fanta Sea with Beachside Management in Siesta Key. They are always great to work with and very friendly. Raquel checked us in and helped us book for our return trip next year. The unit is beautiful and a great location. It’s right on the beach and a quick walk to SK Village. No need for a car. You can watch the flag ceremony from your deck every day. I would recommend the property. Ask for Raquel and she’ll answer all of your questions.

5.00Cesar was a fantastic host today on this trip. He has a great sense of humour and very knowledgeable. The whole adventure was excellent and we were also able to see 4 turtles whilst snorkelling. Manuel our driver was also very good. Definitely would recommend this trip
