4.00We booked the Hideaway island combo for a day trip on a cruise stop. Very sadly it took too long for us to get off the ship due to the water shuttle process (booked the 9am trip, reached port at 10.30am despite lining up at 6.45am to get our water shuttle ticket). We missed the trip but Yumi were very good in thier communication with us and looked after us very well. Thank you!

4.00All the places we visited were great. The tour went over by at least 2 hours because there were multiple tours going at the same time. Would’ve preferred if it had just been the tour we’d booked and not others alongside it.

5.00We took this trip with Vincent as our guide and and Phillipe as our driver and it was fantastic! Such a jam packed day of wonderful sights. Our driver was fantastic, the guide super knowledgeable and friendly, and this was such an efficient way to see our top sites - I'd recommend this tour (and Yumi tours, in general) to anyone.

1.00I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the "Hideaway Island Combo Day Trip with Yumi Tours" I participated in yesterday on 10 June 2025 in Port Vila, and to request a refund of 80% of the total cost due to the significant shortcomings and unmet expectations during the experience. Upon arrival, I was dropped off alone at Hideaway Island. The tour guide informed me that he would be attending to another group with more participants and would not accompany me. As a result, I was left entirely on my own, without guidance or support. This was not what was advertised or expected from a guided tour. When I inquired about snorkeling activities, I was told by restaurant staff on the island that it would be dangerous to snorkel without a guide due to sharp reefs and strong currents. I was also surprised to learn that I needed to hire an instructor separately and bring my own equipment—none of which was communicated beforehand. There were no lifeguards or safety personnel present, and I did not feel safe participating in any activities. In the second part of the tour, the guide suggested that I pay again to join the next day’s tour as a form of compensation. This is unreasonable and unacceptable. I should not be required to pay again to make up for a service that was not delivered properly the first time. Furthermore, I spent only ten minutes at the Blue Lagoon after a lengthy and unproductive discussion with the guide, wasting valuable time on my short holiday. Only the third activity of the day met expectations. Given the overall experience, I believe a refund of 80% is fair and justified. I do not accept the 1/3 refund that was offered, as it does not adequately reflect the extent of the inconvenience and disappointment I experienced. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a prompt resolution. Please confirm and advise on the next steps for processing the refund.
