A bargain but not exactly a tour guide

Our ship docked at Port Klang, which is about 1 hour driving time from Kuala Lumpur. Our driver picked us up from the cruise terminal instead of the downtown meeting point. But he asked for an additional USD80. He got us to a number of standard tourist attractions expertly. However, he was not a tour guide in the traditional sense. He answered our tourist questions the best he could. We spent a fraction of the money compared to the ship's tour but did not come away learning too much about the history and background information about Kuala Lumpur.

The guide did not show up. I rang and messaged every number I could find on my booking. There was no response at all. I submitted a claim for a refund which was accepted that day. That evening I received an email saying the tour was cancelled due to guide’s personal circumstances. Whilst I completely understand that this can happen, I do not understand why I was not contacted as soon as this was known. My phone and email details were provided in my booking. I was extremely frustrated as this was my last day in KL and I had chosen this tour over another similar tour.

What a memorable experience with TK! He took such wonderful care of our family particularly my mom, and showed us many of the top sites in the central market area, educating us along the way. TK was such a gracious host; friendly, enthusiastic, and entertaining! He adjusted the itinerary based on our needs and even helped us bargain with shopkeepers. Thanks TK for a great tour!

Tour guide never showed up. We got to the meet up location 10 minutes ahead of schedule and stayed there for more than 30 minutes. There was no answer when trying to communicate with the guide. Ruined the day’s plan. Viator is supposed to be getting us a refund.

Zack is an experienced local who shares his knowledge of KL in an interesting way. We enjoyed visiting local areas and especially enjoyed our lunch in a local restaurant! A highly recommend walking tour.
