We’ll explore Porto’s best viewpoints off-the-beaten-path as we travel slowly discovering the history and stories of Porto told by your private Local guide.
The rhythm is slow-paced with conversation, lots of stops, historical facts, curiosities, lots of photos gorgeous views!
We’ll go through places and neighborhoods like the Cathedral, Miragaia and along the river Douro to Massarelos with his bridges and Foz with the smallest beach in Porto.

5.00A novel and engaging way to see Porto. Our tour guide, Pacio, was very knowledgable, very pleasant and good craic (as we say in Ireland). Very safe in case anyone had any doubts. Would highly recommend.

5.00João's sidecar tours are fantastic and well worth the money! Whether you've never been on a motorbike or are an avid rider, sidecars are a totally unique experience. João is also a brilliant guide and shows you parts of the city you're unlikely to find if exploring by yourself. Our 3 hour tour included a day's worth of sightseeing but always felt fun and relaxing. I'd do this again and again and again!

5.00João’s tour with two motorcycles (sidecars attached) was a one-of-a-kind tour. Paulo is the second driver and very friendly. We made lots of great stops and learned quite a bit of history. The guides are great about taking lots of photos of your party. We were able to modify the trip a bit as it was raining the whole time. While the guides made it fun and brought rain gear, I do not recommend this wonderful tour in the rain. It is difficult to see through the helmet face guards with rain and the sights aren’t as brilliant. Here is an honest tip: one person in each sidecar (for a max of two). Any additional riders have to ride on the small seat behind the driver. In our case, it was fine, as my adult daughter is petite. For those curious, the motorcycles are not loud or smelly. The sidecars are comfortable. We highly recommend this tour!

5.00By far, the highlight of our Porto experience was our tour with Sidecar Tours. My mother and I were taken around the city in style by the fantastic Oscar. It was such a treat to ride through side streets and hidden paths while learning about Porto’s history and seeing countless beautiful sights. We had an amazing time and truly can’t say enough good things about this experience.

5.00I can honestly say this was some of the best money spent on our Porto vacation! Our guide, João, met us at our hotel ready for a 3-hour guided adventure. He arrived with a stunning new Ural motorcycle and sidecar in classic olive drab paint — such a stylish way to see the city! Helmets were provided, and before setting off we chatted about our interests and the sights we hoped to explore. From the moment we left the hotel, we felt like the envy of everyone we passed. The ride was smooth, the pace perfect — never rushed — and João’s knowledge of Porto was truly stellar. We cruised through charming side streets, visited historic churches, and stopped at cozy cafés, soaking up the city’s beauty and hospitality. João kept us entertained the entire time with his fun banter and fascinating local insights. His humor, warmth, and genuine love for Porto made this experience unforgettable. Thank you, João, for sharing your city and giving us such wonderful memories — this was truly a highlight of our trip!

5.00Highly recommend this experience. Joao was very informative and friendly. A great selection of stops for art and history. We had a nice break for coffee and pastry and Joao coordinated my drop off at a small fishing village for lunch.

5.00Joao was a wonderful host in a beautiful city. He is the friendliest, most informative guide. If there are places you b want to see..or don't want to see.. He will customize your experience. If you're not sure..he will offer suggestions. He knows the history and the current situation and future plans for many parts of Porto. The sidecar is so much fun! Everyone waves at you..kind of jealous at how you're getting around! Spending time with Joao is making a friend. Enjoy!
