The tour itinerary include as many visits is possible and to offer you a great experience of Transylvania. Our trip focus on so called Classic Triangle of Transylvania, the area of Brasov – Sighisoara – Sibiu. These are the best three old towns and in their surroundings we have an important number of castles, fortresses, the famous Saxon fortified churches, beautiful villages, etc. The area has great landscapes over the Carpathians mountains and the spectacular hills and woods.
The tour is an excellent choice if you plan a pre cruise or post cruise excursion in Transylvania

In the morning meet with our guide at your hotel in Bucharest or at the airport (for flights arriving up to 11.00). Note: on request we can include extra nights and travel services in Bucharest.
Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle)
Continue your Transylvania tour with a visit at the famous Bran castle. Also called Dracula`s Castle, the castle got its fame from Dracula`s legend written in 1897 by Bram Stoker and later on made into a film by Francis Ford Coppola.. The first documents about Bran Castle appeared in 1377.
Brasov
After the Bran Castle visit you can spend some time for souvenirs shopping and then leave End the day in Brasov with a visit of the medieval center of Brasov, The main sites are: Council Square, Black Church, White and Black Towers, Weaver’s Bastion and Ecaterina’s Gate, St Nicholas Church, The Rope’s street, etc. The city of Brasov has its origins back to 13th century and it was one of the most important trade centre and one of the most fortified towns. Part of the medieval buildings can still be seen in our tour. We'll end the day going back to Brasov driving on the fast road if you want to spend more time in the city or on the slower countryside road to pass picturesque mountain villages.. Overnight in Brasov.

Peasant Fortified Church at Prejmer
Depart from Brasov to explore the Saxon heritages from the area. First stop at Prejmer Fortified Church (UNESCO), one of the best preserved of its kind in Eastern Europe. Dating since 13th century, it is a great sample of a mix between the religious and defensive structures. Built the be a shelter for the local communities the fortified churches are characteristic for southern Transylvania and was part of the regional defensive system. Almost every village in the area had a type of fortification. The most important ones are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Viscri Fortified Church
Next we’ll drive to one of the most charming Transylvanian villages – Viscri. The village preserves the authentic architecture of the houses, old way of life, traditions and crafts. It is considered a great sample of the Saxon / German Heritage of Transylvania. Enjoy a walk through the village and visit the Viscri Fortified church.
Cetatea Rupea
We’ll continue to Rupea fortress, an impressive citadel with three concentric fortified walls and 3 interior precincts.
Centrul Istoric Sighisoara
In the afternoon we’ll arrive at Sighisoara, the best preserved medieval town of Transylvania. The main sights: Clock Tower and History Museum, Birth place of Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), Covered stairs, Church on the Hill, towers and fortifications. Enjoy a walk on the narrow streets paved with river stones. Sighisoara is a must see place for any traveller having a tour in Romania.

We’ll drive in the morning to Sibiu. The city of Sibiu it was the biggest medieval town of Transylvania and today is one of the most popular tourist sights. Highlights: Big Square, Little Square, Orthodox and Lutheran-Evangelical Cathedrals, Liars bridge, medieval wall, etc. Sibiu is a vibrant city with a charming old town and a walk will reveal parts of the local history and culture. It is considered one of the European most romantic places to live and visit.
Sibiel
At lunch time we’ll drive you to the villages from the Sibiu's surroundings, places with a long history and tradition. The best way to discover village life is to go a trip by horse driven wagon. Enjoy the sightseeing and the village architecture.. Then we’ll serve a home-made traditional lunch in a local family guesthouse. It is also the chance to see a typical Transylvanian household and to see how a peasant family lives. Return to Brasov. Overnight in Brasov, in the same hotel.

. Leave Brasov on the way to Bucharest. Stop on the route to Sinaia. Visit the Peles Castle, former summer residence of the Romanian kings. Peles castle is considered one of the best castles in Europe and one of the most modern buildings of its time.

5.00David of Visit Transylvania Tours gave us a fantastic private 3-day tour of central Romania. He showed us everything we planned to see plus much more. We learned about the history and culture of the places we visited as our tour host drove, guided us, and explained what we were seeing all along the way. His tours of mountain sights, historic Peles and Bran Castles, ancient churches, as well as his suggestions for restaurants and even for local dishes in Brasov were excellent. We have traveled extensively all over the globe, but this was our first visit to Romania. We truly enjoyed our time exploring this rich and diverse country and plan to visit again and have David as our five-star tour guide.

5.00We spent a fascinating 6 days in Transylvania. David was an incredibly knowledgeable and engaging guide. An excellent and enthusiastic host for our trip for the 4 of us which took in the major sites and included bear watching and truffle hunting. A highly enjoyable 6 days in a lovely country with a guide who was likeable, very knowledgeable and helpful.

5.00I found this tour online while searching for possible itineraries in Transilvania and I couldn't be happier! I am a tour guide so I'm extremely picky about my travel experiences and trust me when I say that this was just perfect! Our guide David was so knowledgeable and kind, had perfect time management and great attention to details. He was driving and guiding at the same time and did a great job! The locations are pretty far from each other so every day we spent quite some time on the road but it was absolutely worth it, also because David kept us entertained explaining all the history of the country in great details. The hotel was lovely and in the best location possible, in downtown Brasov next to great restaurants and cafes. The food was delicious and one of the highlights was definitely having lunch with a local family. Absolutely nothing bad to say, great value for money and overall wonderful experience!

5.00A casual traveller confronted with the complexity of Romania is likely to return with superficial and inaccurate impressions, not least because Bram Stoker's fanciful tale of Dracula dominates the way the country is perceived. To avoid bafflement on the battlements requires a guide to take you through the Looking Glass into a world as fascinating as that dreamed up by Stoker. That man is David Jalea, who breathes life into history with personal stories about the characters who made their mark on the the country's tortuous past. Patient, courteous and flexible, David is the perfect host. I endorse everything others have said about him and his excellent company.

4.00I booked a private tour with the company from Tuesday-Friday. Planning the trip was easy through email and I always got a very quick response back with good planning tips and ease to make an itinerary for the short trip. I was promptly picked up at the airport with excellent communication and brought to Transylvania. The three guides I had told me lots of historical information, they all were extremely knowledgeable and gave great tours of the sights we visited. We did everything on my list plus extras once I got there and saw more that I was interested in. I was on time to everything and didn't feel rushed. It was a great company to work with!

He is an excellent ambassador for his company and country. We are looking forward to being guided by him again.

5.00A friend and I had 24 hours in Romania before a conference, so David custom designed our quick tour to meet our every need and wish with door-to-door service. His response to our initial query was within minutes and we were able to design the tour within an hour or so. He had done the same for another friend which was how I came to get his information. I will keep passing on the recommendation as I connected with the country in a way I could not have with only flying in for the conference. Thank you, David. It was fantastic to learn from you and see your country for its beauty and history!

5.00Me and my husband had a three day private tour with David Jalea. The tour exceeded all our expectations. David has a deep knowledge and understanding of history of the region and knows how to present it in an engaging way. David was very attentive to our needs, flexible in our schedule and made our trip pleasurable. We had a chance to explore the beautiful historic city of Brasov, visited Peles Castle, Bran Castle the village of Viscri, and so much more. David introduced us to Romanian cuisine and some good restaurants. David has an excellent English and we had some very interesting discussions which helped us understand the country's past and present. In coming to Romania we had a mission trying to find my husband's family roots. David was instrumental in our success. Even before we arrived he found the house where the family lived and the grandfather's grave. He went with us to the municipality where we found my husband's birth records. We can not recommend David high enough. He is very attentive and communicates promptly. We will keep a fond memory of our trip.
