High on many people's bucket list is conquering the summit of Snowdon - the highest point in the British Isles outside of the Scottish Highlands and at 1085m (3,560 feet) above sea level it's no mean feat.
Our small group experiences are led by qualified, local mountain guides who use their expert knowledge to take you away from the main hiking paths (and crowds) to give you a unique day out.

We operate nearly every day of the year between Easter and October Half Term. We'll chat to you in advance and ensure you've got the right gear for an enjoyable day out. If you want to make a private booking we'll also offer alternate route choices. On the day we'll meet you at the start point and guide you safely to the summit (and back again!) and supply you with entertaining facts and bad jokes along the way.

5.00David was an amazing guide, not only did he bring the group together, he was on hand whenever he was needed. The trek was done with expert guidance and lots of humour r he made the whole experience unique.

5.00Simon is a great guy and absolutely the best, safest and most enjoyable way to hike up Snowdon. He’s friendly, enthusiastic and very attentive and without him I don’t think out group would have been so keen to persevere thanks again.

5.00Brilliant day had with a wonderful group and a fantastic leader. I went with my 12 year old and Simon was patient and very motivating when he felt that the climb had beaten him. I also had a small tumble and he was did everything and more to ensure I was comfortable on the way down…. Managed to injure myself on the flat halfway down 🤣🤣🤣 I am so glad I booked and went as part of a group and we loved every minute. Thanks Simon!!

5.00Had an excellent day walking up the Llanberis path to the summit. Comfortable pace and even though it was misty with limited views it was a great day out and well guided and supported throughout.

5.00Had a great experience, took my 14 year old son out for some bonding 💪🏼 no phones for 6 hours!! Michael was great, an engaging guy who clearly knows the mountain & history. We felt safe which is a good job as the our summit experience was very windy, wet & cloudy.

5.00What an amazing experience. Fantastic guides. Simon was really friendly and helpful at the start point and end. I had Emma as a guide. Very helpful with lots of information about the trip. Allowed everyone to walk at their pace and always made sure everyone was comfortable. Emma made everyone feel relaxed and at ease and it was like walking with friends even though you had only just met! Overall amazing trip and highly recommend.

5.00I'm not a strong hiker and this was the perfect experience for me. Emma took wonderful care of me. And although I did not make it to the top, I would have not traded a single minute of this experience. The views took my breath away. The staff are so caring and knowledgeable. Mountain Xperience has my highest recommendation for hikers at any level.

5.00We hiked up Snowdon with the wonderful Tom. A lovely guy with a passion for mountains, eco issues and Welsh Mythology. He looked after the group, being considerate to the different abilities in the group. He tells a great story! I have never done this before and plan to do more in the future. Thanks Tom- excellent!

5.00This hike very much matched my expectations, very reasonably priced and the estimation of the walk was accurate to the summit and back again, Tom was a very friendly guide; fun, knowledgeable and motivating, particularly at the steeper parts, checking regularly to see if I was OK. He even frequently motivated and checked in on others who were part of our group and even strangers who weren't - Sign of a great leader. Thank you Tom, thankyou MountainXperience. I will book again in future, I would like to do the Snowdon by Sunrise, sometime in 2026
