What makes this tour unique as a private excursion it can be customized as you like. However our suggestions are as follows: Our Cape of Good Hope hike start on the Western shoreline of the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and cross over to the Eastern side of the reserve offering breathtaking views of False Bay. In spring spectacular flora and abundant bird-life are one of the many highlights as well as Whale watching. The Cape of Good Hope hike take you South toward Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope. The hike is mainly along the coastline with stunning beaches and involve occasional rock scrambling. You are almost bound to get very close to baboons. Following a rest at Cape Point the hike take you to the old light house and along a well-maintained and marked boardwalk to the famous Cape of Good Hope most South Western tip of Africa. The trail is popular for the unsurpassed views over the pristine Diaz Beach.

We will travel along the Atlantic seaboard, driving between the mountains and the ocean our first photo stop will be at Maiden's Cove beautiful scenic lookout point nestled between Clifton's beaches and the prestigious suburb of Camps Bay in Cape Town.

Hout Bay

Leaving Cape Town the first fishing village we drive through is Hout Bay perched on the edge of the ocean. It is bordered on either side by Table Mountain range which at one end closes into a narrow neck with a road leading to the wealthy mountainside suburb of Constantia and on the other opening out onto the half-moon shaped bay with the scenic Chapman's Peak road between mountain and sea.

I did a full day solo tour yesterday with Patrick, and it was an excellent decision to book with him! He was an excellent guide, very personable and a wealth of interesting information to share. He was able to customize my trip to include a long hike in the Cape peninsula followed by a visit to the Kirstenbosch gardens. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough!

Cape Escape Tours has to be the best tour you could ever be on. Patrick makes your day. On timepick up, polite, knowledgeable, great driver. understands the client, responds to any request, flexible. Full day tour to the cape of good hope with a great hike to the lighthouse. Had ample time for shopping and lunch. A wonderful stop @ Boulders Beach to visit penguins and a love at first site to see Simons Town. Was sad to leave at the end of the day. Any tour would be great but I’d say full days are the greatest. Going back to Cape Town I’d book everyday with him. Thank you Patrick for being amazing keep on being you as you are simply the best.

If you love to hike new places this is one to experience in Cape Town. Patrick of Cape Town Tours was knowledgeable of the history, the wildlife and flora and fauna of this unique area. As we went by areas he was sure to point out areas of interest and explained throughly. The hike was a challenge for this elder hiker but Patrick was patient and the to assist when needed. If ever I return to Cape Town I will definitely book another tour!

What an excellent day with excellent company. We were collected by Patrick on time at 730am, we went mountain biking for 3 hours with Rafik before heading south to the Cape of Good Hope. It was just wonderful. Highlight of our holiday. Patrick is lovely, he allowed us bike more than planned and suggested more biking options for us. The scenery is stunning and we highly recommend using Patrick and his company Cape Escape.
