Valley is a beautiful valley carved out by glaciers some hundreds of thousands of years ago. Crystal clear mountain lakes and waterfalls surrounded by peaks is what you’ll find today. Starting from Bodø, the valley is a perfect place for a moderate hiking day trip in Northern Norway.
Bodø is known for excellent hiking options, its diverse landscape and the easy access to the mountainsides. If you’re a hiking enthusiast, you should add the area to your bucket list.
The Hidden Valley: The Børvasstindane mountain range contains the signature mountains of Bodø. Åselidalen – “The Hidden Valley” – cuts into the mountains between the mountain ridges Åselitindan and Falkflågtindan.
Peaks: The valley is surrounded by jagged peaks, all over 1,000 metres above sea level. Two of them, PerKalsa and Børtind, are favourites among the locals.

5.00Everything was very well organized, and it was a big relief not having to worry about planning the route or transport. Our guide was super friendly, knowledgeable, and shared a lot of interesting facts about the area, which made the experience even more special.If you're in the area and want to explore some stunning Norwegian nature in a relaxed and safe way, I can absolutely recommend this hike!
All I can say after the hike is "Noice"

5.00A must do if you have a pit stop in Bodo. The initial journey to the hidden valley starts off the bar high with expansive mountain views and if the timing is right awesome angles of the Saltstraumen. The actual hike into the hidden valley isn't too difficult but highly recommend good enclosed boot like hiking shoes, some terrain can be boggy. The final vantage point of the hike is breathtaking, but to be honest the whole trek is jaw dropping. If you make good time, Ivar seems to have quite the luck with finding reindeer and moose for an amazing close up and memorable end to the tour.

5.00I had a wonderful experience hiking in Hidding Valley. The guide was incredibly kind, approachable, and easy to talk to, which made the whole trip feel relaxed and enjoyable. This hike is perfect for beginners – not too demanding, yet still rewarding. The views were absolutely magical, with breathtaking scenery all around. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Bodø and looking for a peaceful, scenic outdoor adventure. The pictures were taken but Ivar, guide and photographer, he shared with me, which was very kind and I really love them!

5.00This was the second tour we did with Ivar in our trip and it was absolutely amazing. Ivar offered us the option to follow the tour 100% or do a tailored version to get hiking and sightseeing around Bodo. The weather was amazing and he helped us made the most of it. He is so accommodating and relax. He shared a spot he goes to with his family and took us there. He stop so we talked to locals. He Took beautiful pictures of our trip. Not only that, he shared tips of where to go without him and he just nailed it. He considers your needs and gives you recommendations. If I come back to Bodo I will absolutely come back to Ivar.

5.00The trip was great. Ivar (the tour guide) and I went up in the valley. It was raining, hailing and we were greeted by a rainbow. Pretty amazing experience.

2.00Tur was cancled, and it was a bit difficult to get precise information on it was going to be, since it was rhe operator that cancled. I don't know if I get my payment back.

5.00Our guide was Ingrid, a very nice girl, who, let me mention, walked the whole way barefoot! She also told us interesting facts about the dry pine tree and showed us the difference between real and fake blueberries The place, the lakes, the small waterfall, everything is beautiful, and we were lucky that it was a sunny day, so we even took a bath in one of the lakes. The water temperature was just right for refreshment, but not too cold. I recommend this trip to everyone
