Le Morne Brabant is a mountain of the south-west of Mauritius, on the peninsula of le Morne. Our team has been the first ever guides in 2004 to bring guests from all over the planet on this majestic rock. Declared World Heritage by UNESCO since July 6, 2008, the site is a sanctuary of the runaway slaves who would have committed suicide by jumping off the cliff of the mountain.
Le Morne Brabant is one of the most preserved and wildest mountains of the island. It is habitat to a very large variety of endemic and narrow-endemic species, such as the rare Trochetia Boutoniana, which is our floral emblem.
Some steeper parts of the ascent will require the use of our hands to progress safely towards the top, where we’ll discover the breath-taking views on the west and south-west lagoons and part of of the island !

Découvrez Le Morne Brabant ! Une montagne du sud-ouest de l'Île Maurice, sur la péninsule du Morne. Déclarer patrimoine mondiale par l'UNESCO le 6 Juillet 2008, la montagne est le sanctuaire des esclaves marrons, qui se seraient jettés du haut de celle-ci pour préserver leur liberté et échapper à leurs maîtres. Se situant sur des terres privées, le Morne Brabant est l'une des montagnes les plus préservées de l'Île. On y retrouve une très haute densité, et variété, d'espèces endémiques, tels que la très rare, Trochetia Boutonania, notre emblème florale nationale.

5.00My husband and I did a fantastic hike with Rowin up Le Morne mountain. He was an incredibly entertaining guide and was able to tailor the experience to all levels as some parts of the hike are easier than others. He was very knowledgable about the history of the area. The hike itself was beautiful - definitely worth the 6am start!

5.00We had a very pleasant time under the guidance of Paj, the hike is accessible on its first part and already offers very beautiful views, the second part is more demanding and requires a minimum of physical condition, without the need to be an athlete either. Note that you should not be afraid of emptiness! Overall, the guides are there to guide us and help us when in difficulty or simply to motivate us. I recommend!

5.00We booked the climb to Le Morne with Yanature during our honeymoon on Mauritius. Paj and Jordan guided us and introduced the flora throughout this hike. It was a very pleasant and reassuring moment for us who did not know the terrain! I highly recommend, thank you both.

5.00We had a very competent guide named Rowin. He was very entertaining, paid very close attention to our safety as well as enough breaks. He also used them for statements about the land, nature and surroundings, which was very positive and educational. Communication was very straightforward.
