Le Morne Brabant is a mountain of the south-west of Mauritius, on the peninsula of le Morne. Our team has been the first ever guides in 2004 to bring guests from all over the planet on this majestic rock. Declared World Heritage by UNESCO since July 6, 2008, the site is a sanctuary of the runaway slaves who would have committed suicide by jumping off the cliff of the mountain.
Le Morne Brabant is one of the most preserved and wildest mountains of the island. It is habitat to a very large variety of endemic and narrow-endemic species, such as the rare Trochetia Boutoniana, which is our floral emblem.
Some steeper parts of the ascent will require the use of our hands to progress safely towards the top, where we’ll discover the breath-taking views on the west and south-west lagoons and part of of the island !

Découvrez Le Morne Brabant ! Une montagne du sud-ouest de l'Île Maurice, sur la péninsule du Morne. Déclarer patrimoine mondiale par l'UNESCO le 6 Juillet 2008, la montagne est le sanctuaire des esclaves marrons, qui se seraient jettés du haut de celle-ci pour préserver leur liberté et échapper à leurs maîtres. Se situant sur des terres privées, le Morne Brabant est l'une des montagnes les plus préservées de l'Île. On y retrouve une très haute densité, et variété, d'espèces endémiques, tels que la très rare, Trochetia Boutonania, notre emblème florale nationale.

5.00Yudish guided us up Le Morne mountain for a sunrise hike - the experience was absolutely wonderful. It took us approximately 2 hours to reach the summit and 2 hours to descend. I thoroughly reccommend even proficient hikers to use a guide because of what they add to the experience. Yudish walked at our pace, advised us on the flora and wildlife (including cats, geckos and pepper berries) and even seranded us. He had great banter including the finest Dad jokes and is a credit to the Yanature team. Thank you 🤩 PS. Don't wear white pants like my husband! PPS. Be prepared for your pants to rip, mine did, not pictured!!

5.00The hike up Le Morne was a real highlight of our trip. Yudish accompanied us safely and with great passion. He was incredibly friendly and made sure we felt comfortable at all times. His relaxed manner turned the tour into a true adventure that we will never forget. If you are looking for a competent and friendly guide, Yudish is the right choice!
Disappointing and Rushed Hiking Experience

1.00Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hiking tour. The experience was disappointing mainly because the group was mixed between English and French speakers, which made communication difficult and slowed everything down. Much of the information from the guide had to be repeated in both languages, making the tour feel disorganized and less engaging. Additionally, the guide seemed constantly in a rush to finish the hike rather than making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. There were very few opportunities for breaks, even when some participants clearly needed them. Overall, the tour felt more focused on getting to the end quickly rather than creating an enjoyable and inclusive hiking experience.

5.00I had the chance to hike Le Morne with Yann Nature, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! Our guide, Rowin, was exceptional from start to finish. Very professional, kind and always attentive, he knew how to supervise us perfectly throughout the hike. He was constantly paying attention to all of us so that everything would be safe and in the best conditions. The hike was beautiful, with breathtaking scenery. I had an unforgettable time and would highly recommend Yann Nature, and especially Rowin, to anyone wishing to discover Le Morne. A huge thank you for this great experience!

5.00We were a small group, totaling 4 people. Our guide Theo took a lot of time for us, explained a lot and instructed us very precisely, in addition he had humor, which made the ascent very pleasant. The ascent itself was challenging, but the descent was also challenging. 😀 Conclusion: The view and the experience is absolutely worth it, but I wouldn't have done that without a guide!
