Experience one of the most rewarding walks of the island of Santiago on this guided adventure to the Pico de Antónia, the highest point of the island, at 1,394 meters altitude. The experience begins with a pick-up in the morning, followed by a panoramic trip to the village of Rui Vaz, where the walk begins.
The climb is challenging but rewarding, going through beautiful mountainous landscapes. At the top, feel touching the sky as you enjoy incredible panoramic views of the whole island. On bright days, you can still see the islands of Fire and May.

5.00A really great hike to Antonia Peak, magnificent views, highly recommended but also very strenuous. Highly recommended as a cruise ship excursion on your own with Rural Tours. Great organization. Kevin, an employee, five stars for him, picked us up at the Praia harbor with a name tag and we took a taxi to the start of the hiking trail. Kevin is a really friendly and helpful employee of Rural Tours. Thank you for everything. One of our most beautiful excursions on our cruise tour.

5.00Fantastic, we had a little fog that prevented us from seeing Fogo but by that the weather was mild. You feel like you're living breathing clean air. Thanks to Edmilson who is an outstanding guide: very professional, punctual and kind. I recommend 100 times this tour. Attention, good physical condition mandatory.

5.00I kinda had a private tour with tour guide Delvin, because nobody else had booked the trip on the same day. Anyhow, he made it an awesome trip! It was entertaining, funny, challenging and I was rewarded not only with an awesome view on the entire island but also with good (local and international) music, sunshine and a tour guide who always looked out for me and my steps. I felt safe, secure and in best hands! Just be sure, you have a good conditional health, because this really can be exhausting for some parts of the hike. Also, everything was well communicated, on time and easy going! I would definitely recommend this trip or any other from RURAL tours.

5.00We hiked the pico and 2 hikes in the Sierra Malaguetta with Edimilson. Everything went very well. In addition to the hikes we went to visit the Assomada market and take a tour on the east coast in Aluguer. Recommend without hesitation.
