The Tamarind Falls, also called the 7 cascades, is an enjoyable hike in the heart of the island. Our 3 hours guided hike is a highlight of the best waterfalls on the spot.
Surrounded by lush green forests and dark volcanic rocks, we progress on single tracks and open areas offering astonishing views upon the falls and the canyons.
During the walk, we have the possibility to enjoy a nice swim in the natural pool that water has carved in the rock, and appreciate a natural massage under the cascades.
Please note that this is not a flat hike; it involves traversing varied terrain with both ascents and descents over rocky surfaces and steep sections with roots. You may encounter challenging and technical parts along the trail. In some instances, you may need to rely on your hands for support, using branches or tree roots to navigate through these sections.

The Tamarind Falls, also called the 7cascades, is an adventurous hike in the heart of the island. It’s a total immersion in our tropical forest, where we will discover five of seven waterfall of Tamarind one after the other. Located in the centre of Mauritius, the hike offers a great discovery of the diverse nature of Mauritius. Surrounded by lush green forests and dark volcanic rocks, we progress on single tracks and open areas offering astonishing views upon the falls and the canyons. During the walk, we have the possibility to enjoy a nice swim in the natural pool that water has carved in the rock, and appreciate a natural massage under the cascades. This hike is suitable for the whole family and lasts more or less 3 hours including the swim breaks.

From the very first steps of the hike, his calm presence, great energy, and deep local knowledge made everything feel both safe and enjoyable. He has a way of reading the group, setting a comfortable pace, and knowing exactly when to pause and let the place speak for itself. The views were absolutely stunning, and just being close to the waterfalls was an experience in itself. Paj made sure everyone felt included and relaxed, while sharing stories and small details that made the hike feel special rather than “touristy”. 5.00Very positive, the place and the sea are beautiful, the staff nice and helpful. Small flaws on hygiene and cleanliness in some environments. The food is quality taking into account tastes since it follows the great Arab and Indian influences. The fruit is delicious

5.00We walked along the Sept Cascades trail. We swam among the waterfalls and made our way through tree roots and foliage as if it were a large natural playground. An unforgettable and unmissable experience for anyone visiting Mauritius. Gilles was excellent, always ready to explain the local flora and willing to help anyone who had difficulty keeping up with the pace of the trek. The photos he will offer to take for you at the most spectacular spots will allow you to fully enjoy the entire experience.
