The Tamarind Falls, also called the 7 cascades, is an enjoyable hike in the heart of the island. Our 3 hours guided hike is a highlight of the best waterfalls on the spot.
Surrounded by lush green forests and dark volcanic rocks, we progress on single tracks and open areas offering astonishing views upon the falls and the canyons.
During the walk, we have the possibility to enjoy a nice swim in the natural pool that water has carved in the rock, and appreciate a natural massage under the cascades.
Please note that this is not a flat hike; it involves traversing varied terrain with both ascents and descents over rocky surfaces and steep sections with roots. You may encounter challenging and technical parts along the trail. In some instances, you may need to rely on your hands for support, using branches or tree roots to navigate through these sections.

Les 7 Cascades
The Tamarind Falls, also called the 7cascades, is an adventurous hike in the heart of the island. It’s a total immersion in our tropical forest, where we will discover five of seven waterfall of Tamarind one after the other. Located in the centre of Mauritius, the hike offers a great discovery of the diverse nature of Mauritius. Surrounded by lush green forests and dark volcanic rocks, we progress on single tracks and open areas offering astonishing views upon the falls and the canyons. During the walk, we have the possibility to enjoy a nice swim in the natural pool that water has carved in the rock, and appreciate a natural massage under the cascades. This hike is suitable for the whole family and lasts more or less 3 hours including the swim breaks.

5.00What an incredible experience! The waterfall walk was one of the highlights of our trip to Mauritius, and that was largely thanks to our amazing guide, Henri. From the moment we met him, Henri was warm, welcoming, and full of enthusiasm. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and shared so many interesting facts throughout the walk, making the experience both educational and entertaining. His wonderful sense of humour kept us laughing along the way, and his friendly personality made everyone feel at ease. The walk itself was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking scenery and beautiful waterfalls. It was great fun from start to finish, although there were some challenging sections that added to the adventure. Henri guided us expertly throughout, always making sure everyone felt safe, confident, and supported. What really made the day special was Henri himself. He was patient, encouraging, professional, and genuinely passionate about what he does. His energy and positivity made the whole experience unforgettable. We are so grateful for such a fantastic day and would highly recommend this waterfall walk to anyone visiting Mauritius. It is an absolute must-do experience, and if you have Henri as your guide, you are in the very best hands! Thank you, Henri, for such a memorable adventure!

5.00The tour is truly recommendable! We were a family of four with our guides Gilles and Christopher, who told us a lot about nature. They were very caring and always looked out for us. They showed us fruits that we tried (guavas, blueberries, pepper) and also a great swimming spot. There is nothing to improve, keep it up!

5.00We hiked the falls with Jordan and could not recommend the experience enough! Having landed in Mauritius the day prior, a guided hike through an area of such magnificent natural beauty was the perfect way to settle into our stay. Jordan was the perfect guide, bridging local expertise with professional hike guidance. The hike was tough but could be enjoyed by anyone who is used to a good walk, there are a couple of steep climbs but Jordan guided us well through them and the pace always matched the experience of the group.

5.00Great hike with Henri. Breathtaking landscapes. Swimming in an idyllic setting. Numerous explanations about the nature and life of the island throughout the journey. A bit "sporty" but nothing dangerous. Henri immediately puts you at ease. I highly recommend it.

5.00Paj was our excellent guide and was very helpful and knowledgeable. We were a couple paired up with two younger ladies. The hiking was a little challenging which we loved, and we were able to swim in two of the waterfalls which was amazing. Paj was a fantastic guide and made the experience hugely enjoyable. A perfect morning activity for those who like a bit of adventure! Thank you so much Paj we appreciated your time.
