Have you ever dreamed to spend a unforgettable moment with huskies surrounded by incredible nature?

On this hike, we take some dogs for a walk (or he takes you?) in the countryside, by the sea, surrounded by mountains view, up into our local forest. (We won´t see polar bears but we might see horses and sheeps.)

After the walk, we will spend the second part of the visit with all the dogs at home, where you can take pictures, cuddle with the dogs and talk more about the things the dogs do all year around.

Take some time to hang out with huskies in this unique experience in North Iceland. In this particular tour, you won’t just be meeting a working dog, you will be meeting a member of the family. This private hike is the perfect combination of nature, dogs and chat. You will see mountains, sea, countryside, forest and have a lot of fresh air. At the same time, the husky is leading you on and you will feel the bound, power and friendliness, streeming from the dog. Your host is then a fountain of knowledge about huskies and everything related to them. After the hike, you will have time to meet the rest of the dogs, when we take a coffiebreak at the house, were the dogs live with their owners. You can take as many pictures as you want and at the same time cuddle up with our gorgeous huskies on this private visit to an icelandic home, just outside of Akureyri. Both children and adults will love this tour. Huskies are very intelligent, curious and friendly, making this the perfect tour for families.

This was a highlight of our trip to Iceland. We loved meeting the owner, Gunni, his wife, Maria, and all 28 dogs! Their passion for the animals is exceptional. We got to see a lot of the Iceland countryside during our dog walk; it was lovely. Private tour was more expensive but well worth it.

An amazing, unique experience which received top marks from my teen (“top tier”). Maria and Gunni’s pack is special and it was so much fun to interact with them, as well as to see them interact with each other. We also got to take them on a hike through a beautiful trail, which overlooked the bay in some parts. Had a blast and met some lovely people - one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you!

Gunni, the vendor, met us at the cruise pier with a husky. It was love at first sight. We were driven to his home and surrounded by many friendly huskies once the fence was closed behind us. Our group of 9, 5 kids and 4 adults couldn't stop smiling and petting the dogs. After the petting session, we were harnessed and teamed up with a husky so they could take us for a walk. 😁 We strolled through the dirt trail and saw some beautiful scenery without the dogs losing control of us. We learned how the dogs are cared for and saw the effort involved in keeping them happy and healthy. We saw the puppies but they were too small to be handled by so many strangers. We had a great time; if you like dogs, this is a tour not to miss.

An absolute must to book. The home is in the most beautiful location, the dogs just adorable & so content in their environment. The trip was so welcoming and personal. Gunnar was the perfect host, so informative and made our time there an amazing experience. The guy who collected us from our pick up point was so friendly and even recognised us a couple of days later in the town. Thank you (plus all your 21 huskies) for a memorable day. Paula & Andrew

This tour is worth all the hype I can give it. Insanely good guides and owners, could not recommend more. Gunni invited us into his home for coffee after the tour and we ended up chatting for ages about shared love of animals, middle earth, and Norse mythology. The dogs were beautiful and extremely friendly. Would come back to the north of Iceland for this experience alone. Keen to be back for the sledding!

Absolutely fabulous experience. This was the best excursion of our Iceland cruise. The host was very interesting and provided hot coffee and tour of his home and kennel after our hike with the huskies. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Tour! Private and very personalized. The dogs were adorable. Excellent guide and interaction with owner, who invited us into his home, was a plus. Also enjoyed the tour of the neaby little church. Highly recommended.

This was so fun with the cutest huskies in Iceland and with so much personality. The husband and wife team were amazing together and individually with their stories and insights. We totally enjoyed this experience and highly recommend it.
