5.00We had a wonderful full-day tour of Hiroshima with our guide, Reika. It was a small, private experience, and her deep family roots in the Hiroshima area brought a unique and personal perspective to the day. Her insight, stories, and local knowledge made the tour truly memorable. At her recommendation, we began by visiting Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island to avoid the risk of worsening weather later in the day. This proved to be an excellent decision, as rain did arrive in the afternoon. We then returned to the city center for lunch, did a bit of shopping, and continued on to the more somber portion of the tour, exploring the history and impact of the atomic bombing. Reika’s family history in Hiroshima, stretching back to before WWII, added a deeply personal and meaningful dimension to the experience. Combined with her knowledge and thoughtful storytelling, it made for an incredibly memorable and impactful day.

5.00Where to begin?! This was the best day ever and our guide made it happen. Kazuko is a retired school teacher who made learning fun. We used every transportation known (boat, bus, car and train) and were always on time. She made sure we had great pics and took many of us for memories. She had a great sense of humor. It was clear she loves her country and sharing it. We would request her for all our excursions if possible!!

5.00We had an excellent experience with Akie. She was waiting for us at Hiroshima Port with a sign with my name, she was punctual, kind, and very professional from the very beginning. She took us to wonderful places, explained everything clearly, and helped us make the most of our day. We visited Miyajima Island, saw beautiful cherry blossom spots, temples, the pagoda, a park, and also the Peace Memorial area. Everything was very well organized, and we felt comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. My wife and I were very happy not only with the tour itself, but also with Akie’s warm personality, efficiency, and positive attitude. We highly recommend her. Choosing Akie is a great decision and will make your Hiroshima visit much better.

5.00We had a full day visiting Miyajima and the Peace Memorial Park. Sergey did a great job guiding us and provided a lot of information. He also took us to a great place for lunch where we had okonomimura. Would recommend this tour but maybe give yourself a couple of days as we ran out of time so didn’t manage to do the gardens or the castle.

5.00What an amazing day we have had with Kazuko. As well as being great company Kazuko is very knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our time together learning about Hiroshima and its history and her family’s experiences. The island of Miyajima was very interesting too. We cannot recommend this tour enough - at the end of our day we both felt more informed about the history of Hiroshima, before the A-bomb and since and perhaps understand present attitudes more too. But also we learnt, importantly, that Hiroshima is so much more than what happened at 8.15 6th August 1945.

5.00It is basically a walking tour so hire a car if you want a private tour experience. Our guide was very friendly and spoke great English.. We had a lovely day.

5.00Our tour guide was excellent and would definitely use her again. She went out of her way to make sure our needs were met like finding my grandson some Pokémon cards. I would give her a 10.
