Our day trip from Osaka to Hiroshima and Miyajima with tour guide, Kazuko, was one of the greatest highlights of our time in Japan. The tour was equal parts somber and magical, but what made it so special was getting to spend time with such a wonderful local guide. Kazuko shared her families history from Hiroshima, taught us local customs and showed us the hidden gems. Miyajima’s floating gates and friendly deer were truly magical. Following our scheduled tour, Kazuko invited us to her home for a traditional Japanese tea and wedding ceremony. It was a New Years we’ll never forget
