Taking this Hiroshima city walk tour was an unforgettable experience on my trip. The guide was warm and approachable, making the whole journey relaxed and pleasant, just like hanging out with a good friend. They spoke fluent English and delivered explanations clearly and easy to understand. The guide was well-versed in all the prepared tour content. They also listened attentively and answered every question and casual chat we had patiently. Wandering through the city streets, we learned about Hiroshima’s local culture and history, and enjoyed heartfelt cultural exchanges. This tour is absolutely fantastic and highly recommended to all visitors to Hiroshima.

I highly recommend this guided tour because the guides put a lot of effort into introducing the attractions. They have done thorough research, and present the information to us clearly. Every tour guide is so passionate; they have big smiles on their faces and are very willing to communicate with us.

When I travel, there are two things that are most important to me: interacting with the locals and visiting the places they love. By joining this walking tour, I was able tofully enjoy both of these experiences. A historically significant cathedral incorporating elements of Japanese culture; a bridge beautifully adorned with two eagles and a mythical creature; and a bridge that, while simple, boasts a long and important history dating back to the samurai era... According to our knowledgeable and friendly local guides, there are over 3,000 bridges in Hiroshima City! I also learned how the people of Hiroshima overcame the devastation of the atomic bombing and had the opportunity to see trees and buildings that survived the bombing. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a travel experience you won’t find in guidebooks!

I really enjoyed this tour. The 1.5-hour walk from Hiroshima Station to Hondori was the perfect length — not too long, but enough time to experience the city in a meaningful way. What I especially liked was that this was not a typical “visit famous tourist spots” tour. Instead, it gave us a chance to see the everyday side of Hiroshima and learn more about local life and history. The guide explained things very clearly using photos and visual materials, which made the stories and historical background much easier to understand and imagine. I also think the meeting point at Hiroshima Station was a great choice because it was very convenient and easy to find, especially for travelers arriving by train. Another nice point was that after the tour ended, it was easy to continue on to Peace Memorial Park by myself. The schedule was also very practical — the tour finished before lunchtime, so I still had plenty of time for other plans during the day. Overall, this was a thoughtful, well-paced, and enjoyable introduction to Hiroshima beyond the usual sightseeing experience. I would definitely recommend it to people who want to discover a more personal and local side of the city.

Noriko, our friendly and well spoken guide, led our group for the day on a pleasant and informative walk through Hiroshima. From train station to downtown shopping center, I learned details of the city and surroundings that I would have missed entirely. Informative facts both large and small gave me a greater understanding of the city and ways of Japanese culture. She asked questions as well making it feel like a cultural exchange as opposed to a lecture. Our questions were answered openly and graciously. It was the perfect start to my day in Hiroshima, and the tour ends on a street with a direct walk to the Peace Park and Memorial. Don't miss out on an opportunity to dig a little deeper into the history and daily life in Hiroshima. Take the tour!

I joined the walking tour on January 10th. We walked along a route dating back to the Edo period, and learned about the history of Hiroshima. We finished the tour downtown, so it was easy to go shopping afterward, which was really nice. Our knowledgeable buddy showed us a different side of Hiroshima than I’m used to, and it made the experience really enjoyable. For those wishing to discover Hiroshima beyond the guidebooks while having a lively chat with Buddies, this tour is highly recommended.

A relaxed walking tour from Hiroshima Station to downtown with four local guides. It felt like strolling with friends rather than a formal tour. Great conversations about local food, history, and culture. Perfect for those who want to experience the real, local side of Hiroshima.
