This was, by far, the best walking tour we’ve ever taken. Not only is Oliwia incredibly knowledgeable about the Ghetto, she’s also an historian and so placed the Ghetto within the larger context of Germany’s invasion in 1939. The three hours we were supposed to spend on this tour stretched to *eight*, simply because there was so much to learn (and, yes, times where we needed to stop and warm up over French fries). But we never felt rushed or like we were a burden. This was also more than simply a tour highlighting a particular place and epoch. Thanks to Oliwia’s knowledge base, this opened a small window into only one trauma and struggle in Poland’s past that has echoes to this day. By pure happenstance, we met a man in his 90s near the location of the Bridge of Sighs who was 7 when the Nazis came to town. We spent a good twenty minutes listening to him recall that time to Oliwia—and he was pretty clear that he sees parallels between what happened then and what’s going on now in the US (and around the world). That was sobering and not something you normally hear. Take this tour with Oliwia: a truly knowledgeable, entertaining, wickedly funny woman. You’ll walk away with much more than you bargained for.

This was an outstanding and deeply meaningful tour of Jewish Warsaw. Olivia did a fantastic job and is an incredible historian of the city. Her knowledge was extensive, but what truly set her apart was her clear passion for the subject—you could feel how much this history matters to her. She used visual materials throughout the tour, which were a huge asset and really helped bring to life the rise, destruction, and transformation of different parts of the city. The visuals made it much easier to understand how Warsaw once looked and how dramatically it changed over time. The tour is quite long and involves a significant amount of walking, so if you are not comfortable walking longer distances, I would recommend either choosing a different tour or asking in advance about a shortened version. That said, shortening it would mean missing out on a wealth of important context and detail, so if you’re able to do the full tour, it is absolutely worth it. This tour is powerful, informative, and incredibly well delivered. If you want to truly understand Jewish history in Warsaw—not just see sites, but grasp their significance—I highly recommend this experience.

Our guide Olivia was not only very knowledgeable (even in three hours we felt we barely scratched the surface) but she very much cares about the many sensitive subjects that were covered. A tour one would never forget that I would recommend to anyone of any religion

I highly recommend Warsaw Undiscovered for any walking tour of Warsaw. We did the Jewish Warsaw tour with Aga, who was very knowledgeable and passionate. If we had time we would have done additional tours with Aga and Warsaw Undiscovered (go to the Warsaw Undiscovered website; all tours not necessarily listed on Viator).

Olivia was very informative. I learned a lot of information on what it was like to be Jewish before and during Poland being occupied.

Great experience exploring the former ghetto of Warsaw. This well paced tour provides an in-depth overview of the Warsaw ghetto with lots of historical context and amazing links to current day.

Olivia was a stellar guide, full of knowledge and responsive to questions. With a relatively small group, we were able to stop to buy a drink or use a bathroom. We saw all the main historical sites of Jewish Warsaw and covered a lot of ground. You’ll want to go back to visit a few sites, especially the POLIN Museum.
