Hluhluwe - iMfolozi Park Wilderness Area

We depart from Durban at 6am and travel to Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve where we embark on a game safari in this big 5 game reserve. A game drive in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve is an exhilarating journey through one of Africa’s oldest and most iconic reserves. Known for its successful rhino conservation efforts, the reserve offers the chance to see the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—amidst diverse landscapes of rolling hills and savannahs. Saint Lucia Estuary

We depart from the hotel after breakfast and go to St Lucia Estuary for a hippo and croc boat cruise. A hippo and croc boat cruise in the St Lucia Estuary is a thrilling adventure in the heart of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. As you glide through the calm waters, you’ll have the unique opportunity to see hippos up close, often lounging in the shallows, and crocodiles sunning themselves along the banks. The knowledgeable guides provide fascinating insights into the behavior and ecology of these creatures, all while surrounded by lush mangroves and diverse birdlife. This cruise offers a rare chance to witness these majestic animals in their natural habitat, making it a highlight of any visit to the area.

iSimangaliso Wetland Park

After the boat cruise we take a short lunch break. This is followed by a game drive in Isimangaliso Wetlands Park. We do a game drive in one of the parks in Isimangaliso Wetlands Park. We experience this beautiful park and get to see many animals, giraffes, zebras, kudus, impalas, elephants and many more.

South Lake Wetland Park

We go to one of the game reserves in Isimangaliso Wetlands Park, Cape Vidal, to do a game drive. A game drive in iSimangaliso Wetland Park offers a unique safari experience in one of South Africa’s most diverse ecosystems. As you traverse through a mix of wetlands, coastal forests, savannahs, and lakes, you’ll encounter a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, and hippos. The park’s rich biodiversity also includes birdlife, crocodiles, and even glimpses of marine life along the coast. With its blend of terrestrial and aquatic environments, a game drive in iSimangaliso provides an extraordinary opportunity to witness the interconnectedness of different ecosystems and the incredible variety of wildlife they support. After the game drive and a brief lunch break we proceed to Durban for the night

Victoria Street Market

In Durban we visit the Victoria Market. A tour of Victoria Market in Durban offers a vibrant and colorful glimpse into the city's rich cultural heritage. Known for its eclectic mix of African, Indian, and local Zulu influences, the market is filled with an array of spices, handmade crafts, traditional clothing, and unique souvenirs. Victoria Market is not just a shopping destination but a cultural hub that reflects Durban diverse history and community spirit.

Durban

We also do a brief tour of Durban city. We visit the Durban Promenade. Furthermore, we also visit the main beach in Durban.

Phezulu Safari Park

In Phezulu Safari Park we visit the African village and also get to experience African dances. A tour of the traditional African village at Phezulu Safari Park offers an enriching cultural experience, providing insight into Zulu heritage and customs. Visitors are welcomed into the village to explore traditional huts and learn about Zulu history, beliefs, and daily life. Phezulu Safari Park

In Phezulu Safari Park we also do a tour of the Reptile Park. Led by knowledgeable guides, visitors can see a variety of species, including crocodiles, tortoises, and several types of snakes, from harmless to venomous.

Nelson Mandela Capture Site

From Phezulu Safari Park we proceed to Nelson Mandela Capture Site. We do a tour here. A tour of the Nelson Mandela Capture Site offers a powerful journey through history, commemorating the moment of Mandela’s arrest in 1962, a pivotal event in South Africa’s fight against apartheid. Located near Howick, the site features an inspiring museum that tells the story of Mandela’s life and struggle for freedom. Drakensberg Mountains

From Nelson Mandela Capture site we proceed to Drakensberg Mountains for the night.

Durban

After hiking in the Drakensberg we take a short lunch break. Thereafter, we start our journey back to Durban to conclude the 5 day tour.
