Saigon Central Post Office
The Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh is a beautifully preserved remnant of French colonial times and perhaps the grandest post office in all of Southeast Asia. Located next door to Notre Dame Cathedral, the two cultural sites can be visited together and offers visitors a chance to imagine life in Vietnam during the times of the Indochinese Empire. The building was designed by Alfred Foulhoux and features arched windows and wooden shutters, just as it would have in its heyday in the late 19th Century.

5.00We really enjoyed our day in Ho Chi Minh City, and our time with Peter, our guide. Our day began with a drive from the port to the Post Office, where we met Peter. He shared the history of the building, as well as history of the city, with its name change and more. We walked a while in town and visited the Presidential Palace and several other landmarks. One highlight we really enjoyed was coffee, especially brewed, with a demo of the process. All day Peter provided us with excellent information and experiences that allowed us to see Vietnam and some of her culture. Peter was mindful of our time constraints in the afternoon, and made sure we were back to the port on time. We would recommend this tour and Peter as a guide to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City. 👍👍💕

5.00We had the best day with the best guide, Hani. She is very friendly, knowledgeable, and funny, our day went so fast for all the sites to visit. Hani took us to a place for lunch that was great. 5.00Barney was the best of all Ho Chi Minh City guides. He speaks fluent English. (not a broken Asian dialect!!) He brought a driver so that we could talk all the way into the city. He drove us to off the beaten path coffee shops, bakeries, & the best Pho noodle house!! What a treat of of tour.

5.00Kain the tour guide was over the top excellent.. this tour was beyond our expectations because of Kain .. he was knowledgeable, kind, organized, & was flexible if we wanted to do something other than what he had planned.. we had lunch at a local Pho restaurant, egg foamed coffee at another local, we did local markets and the driver was always there to pick us up after our local tours.. Kain the tour guide was exceptional.. we now have a new friend now in Saigon.. Viator uses Maximus Travel in Saigon & Kain works independately for them…. Hopefully when you book the travel guide Kain will be the guy showing u around Saigon.. P.s. 5.00Was picked up on time by Minh Lai our guide.He was very knowledgeable and proud of his country.He took us to all of the sites in Saigon.We had a choice of places to go for lunch and we were never hurried.He was always happy and smiling,and nothing was to much trouble.Would highly recommend Min Lai if booking a private tour. 5.00Superb tour. Local guide, Minh, was absolutely incredible. Saw so much with total flexibility in our schedule. Minh was full of amazing information and was great fun, joining in with our small group and advising where necessary. I highly recommend his lunch suggestion for great food !
