Hobbitenango is a fantasy theme park inspired by the work of J. R. R. Tolkien, located in the mountains of Antigua Guatemala. It is known for its “hobbit houses” dug into the earth, its themed restaurants and, mainly, for its attractions with panoramic views such as giant swings and sculptural hands, designed for photography and outdoor adventure. It is a popular destination to escape the city and enjoy mountainous landscapes.
Altamira Oriole Antigua Guatemala
Altamira de Oriole (Antigua Guatemala) is a popular adventure park and viewpoints located in the mountains, very close to its neighbor, Hobbitenango. The park is a leisure destination known for its panoramic views of the Antigua Valley and its surrounding volcanoes. Its main attractions include giant sculptures and platforms designed for photography, such as the iconic Giant Hand, as well as offering nature adventure activities such as swings and trails.

5.00It was a great excursion. We were picked up on time and our hosts were amazing. Very accommodating, pleasant and patient. They allowed us to rake as long as needed and as many pictures as we wanted without making us feel rushed. It was a great experience. I highly recommend it.

5.00Great tour .... I was exhausted by the end. We had so much fun. My guide was Juan and he was very nice. I was the only person on the tour. Juan took plenty of pictures and videos and encouraged me to face my fears lol. I truly appreciated that. I would highly recommend this tour

5.00I had a great tour guide. He made me feel safe, allowed me to take my time at each site, and was a great photographer. My tour guide was really good company and provided recommendations for places to go outside of the tour. I enjoyed my experience and the tour guide was also willing to capture photos. 10/10 would recommend this tour especially if you’re traveling solo.

5.00Fabulous day - Hobbitengo and Alta Mira were amazing. My heart rate definitely increased when I went out on the golden hands and on the swing at Hobbitengo.. such a fun day out with a fantastic guide!

5.00Book it! Don’t hesitate. Alfonso was great! Contacted us as soon as we booked to confirm our preferred meeting point. As a habit I am always outside early,to my surprise so was Alfonso. He sent me a photo of the vehicle so I would know that it was him . He stopped so we could get breakfast as it was very early . Now let me tell you this lol driving in Guatemala takes exceptional skills especially up these mountains. Alfonso got us to our destinations with ease. Our tickets were already for us. He stayed during the excursions; took photos ,informed us of everything available to us, shared laughs and gave us suggestions. Luckily for us we went early and got to experience everything before the crowds came.This experience was an absolute dream ! Thank you Alfonso !
