Our first stop is Hobbitenango, a magical place inspired by the movie The Hobbit, nestled in the mountains. Famous for its giant swing and the iconic "Hand of the King" where you can take incredible photos with stunning nature as your backdrop. You'll also have the chance to explore the charming Hobbit-inspired huts.
Next, we’ll head to Altamira, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the three towering volcanoes that surround Antigua. Altamira offers the best vantage point to capture amazing photos and, for the more adventurous, there's an optional canopy bike ride.

5.00Our tour guide - Nelly - was great! Growing up in Antigua she knew everything we needed to know about this excursion. Her demeanor and flexibility made this experience great. This started as a visit to Hobbitenango and ended with us jumping off the van as the semana santa traffic was crazy. Nelly quickly walked with us to Guadelaria (awesome local food), introduced us to Juan Antonio Duran (the owner) which resulted in a great additional experience. Going this extra step really made our experience great. Hobbitenango was even better then we had anticipated. Best part was the nice little restaurants and bars interspersed throughout, the views, and the local cat - Frodo. Would recommend. Ask for Nelly.

5.00There was a delay with our pickup, but the team was quick to respond and kept us updated, which we really appreciated. Once the tour began, everything was fantastic. The places themselves were special. Nelly was warm, knowledgeable, and engaging, and Fernando was a skilled and reliable driver. Overall, a smooth, easy, and fun experience—highly recommend!

5.00We had an amazing private tour for two and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything was smooth, well organized, and very enjoyable from start to finish. Our guide, Nandy, was excellent, super knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke fluent English which made everything easy to understand and more engaging. He also went above and beyond by taking all the pictures for us, which made the experience even more special. Our driver, Ernando, was fantastic, very professional, punctual, and made us feel safe and comfortable the entire time. Overall, it was a perfect experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great tour! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

5.00Visiting Hobbitenango was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Antigua. The setting is absolutely breathtaking — high in the mountains with sweeping views of the surrounding volcanoes and valleys. The entire park is beautifully designed, with whimsical Hobbit-inspired details, fun photo spots, and an atmosphere that feels both magical and peaceful. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was our guide, José. From the moment we met him, he was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. José shared fascinating stories about Antigua, the volcanoes, and the local culture along the way, which made the journey just as enjoyable as the destination. He was also fantastic at making sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. He pointed out the best viewpoints, helped us capture amazing photos, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal rather than rushed. You could really tell he cares about giving visitors a memorable experience. If you’re visiting Antigua, Hobbitenango is an absolute must, and if you have the chance to go with José, you’re in excellent hands. His passion, friendliness, and knowledge truly elevated the entire visit. Highly recommend this experience — it was magical from start to finish!
