The only way to access the Hobbiton Movie Set is with a guided tour.
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for the conditions, sun protection, jacket/warm layer, & any essential personal items.
Easy and good fitness level required.
Bring a camera or a phone with camera capability as Hobbiton is the perfect place to get some great travel photos.
Children below 8 years old are required to travel in a child safety car seat.
Children between 5-7 years old are also recommended to be in a booster seat for their safety.
You must be at least 18 years of age and present a valid photo ID in order to consume alcohol.
This is a guided walking tour and sensible walking footwear is recommended.
You must be able to climb and descend stairs and walk on unpaved or uneven terrain.

5.00What a great day! Our driver Matty was super fun and knowledgeable about the surrounding areas as we drove from Auckland to Hobbiton. The tour itself at Hobbiton was awesome and it was great to see the movie sets up close and personal. Great photo opps too!

5.00We had an amazing trip to Hobbiton and what made it even better was our tour guide and driver Karthik. He was extremely helpful and very nice throughout the whole trip, he really made it enjoyable for us and he was very hospitable as well. I highly recommend this tour and especially going with Karthik.
