4.0We loved Waitomo and Hobbiton and both are well worth visiting. The only down side is that we did the coach trip Auckland which is a really long day if you don’t enjoy coach travel and it was full. This meant the tours probably ideally suited to groups of 20 and 46 people on it which was just to large.

5.0David, our guide and driver for the day was fantastic! Loved his energy and jokes throughout the day. It was a long tour and he made it a memorable one. The guides at Waitomo (Lana) and Hobbiton (Andrew) were also amazing! They made the day so much more interesting with the stories around Hobbiton.

5.0This tour was great! I don’t know that I would go back to the Waitomo worm caves but Hobbiton made the whole tour worth it! The drive from the city is quite long and breakfast is not included so make sure to eat beforehand or bring snacks. Our tour guide Todd kept us entertained the whole day. After the worn caves, we were provided a nice lunch with a sandwich, potato salad, and dessert. When arriving to Hobbiton we had time to use the facilities, get a snack if needed and visit the gift shop. The tour lasts for about 2 hours and it was so cool to see the movie set and how not a single detail was missed. The tour concluded with a drink of your choice and then we got back into the van and enjoyed a nice quiet ride back to the city.
