Due to the delicate ecosystem within the Waitomo Caves, photography is not permitted inside. This policy helps protect the glowworms, ensuring the preservation of this unique environment.

Children aged 7 years and below are required to travel in a child safety car seat. You can provide your own or one can be provided for $20 NZD (with 24 hours notice).

5.00Our tour guide Dave helped us get ENGAGED at Hobbiton! Tour was fun, engaging, and well-paced. Dave was really knowledgeable and recommended great ice cream, chocolate and restaurants in Auckland. We would highly recommend this tour to everyone :)

5.00This was a great day out to see the sights of the North Island. Whilst it is a very long day, there is sufficient time to relax on the bus before anything of substance happens in the morning. The caves were lovely, but the real attraction was Hobbiton. We hadn't really watched the movies, other than quickly watching the first one prior to the trip. This didn't really matter at all, as Hobbiton is just wonderfully quaint and beautiful on its own accord. A lot of care has gone into the upkeep of the little village, and it takes a surprisingly long time to get around it all. The tour operator was also lovely, she was informative and friendly.

5.00My partner and I had the most perfect day together on this tour! Our driver Alejandro was awesome and very knowledgeable. Kept us engaged and entertained throughout the drive. He ensured that all of us were well guided and taken care of and he even gave us some tips on how to enjoy the shire more which was great! We were given snacks and water as soon as the tour started, promptly stopped for a coffee break at a beautiful cafe and for lunch too we were taken at a nice restaurant with great food! And then there were more snacks and water on board which is always a great thing on a long tour day! Towards the end of the tour we were also taken to Pokeno for some beautiful ice cream! Ale ensured that we had an amazing time. Everything felt perfect and we felt we were given adequate time to explore around - nothing felt rushed and we managed to be on the scheduled time. Touring with CheekyKiwi overall was absolutely delightful and very comfortable. I would 100% recommend them to everyone and myself avail more of their services moving forward!

5.00As soon as we scheduled this trip, the first thing I did was look for this tour! Cheeky Kiwi Travel exceeded my expectations! The tour down to the sites was comfortable, and I learned a lot about the country and the various information about the tour sites. A comfort stop was included on each long drive, which was very helpful. The lunch stop was outstanding as well. If I travel to this area again, I would consider using them for any other tours. Thanks for the excellent day in New Zealand.

5.00Great tour. Hobiton and the glow worm cave was amazing. Lunch was provided as part of the tour and I especially liked that we were given a budget and then able to choose our own lunch. Grant was a great guide. He started the tour with fun introductions, water and a snack. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and gave us recommendations for things to do, see and eat in Auckland. He even made a recommendation for a favorite ice cream flavor at the ice cream stop. All in all, a wonderful day.

5.00I had an incredible experience on this tour! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, informative, and genuinely enjoyable. The sights were beautiful, and we never felt rushed there was plenty of time to explore, take photos, and really soak in each stop.
