You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Hoi An by a friendly guide in an air-conditioned vehicle. Visit a bustling local market in Hoi An, with guidance from your instructor, select fresh herbs, vegetables, and spices for the cooking class. Head to the lush Bay Mau Coconut Village, surrounded by water coconut palms. Embark on a unique ride in a round bamboo boat, navigating through the serene waterways of the coconut forest. Participate in fun activities like crab fishing or learning traditional paddling techniques. Arrive at a local cooking school, nestled in the village or near the river. Relax with a refreshing welcome drink and a short introduction to the cooking session. Cooking Demonstration and Hands-On Experience : Choose 4 dishes from a list of 10 traditional Vietnamese dishes (examples include , banh xeo, fresh spring rolls, caramelised fish cooked in claypot, Fresh steamed rice roll, green mango salad,…). Learn cooking techniques and cultural stories behind each dish from a professional chef. Enjoy the fruits of your labor in a cozy dining area with your group. Desserts with seasonal fruits. Relax during the scenic drive back to your hotel.

5.00We have had a very nice afternoon/evening with our chef LouLou. She brought us to the market first and told a lot about specific Vietnamese herbs and fruit. After that we went to the herb garden in front of the restaurant. The cooking was fun to do and the end result was delicious. Highly recommend this tour

5.00We had so much fun at this cooking class! Our teacher, Four, was very patient with us and made it a really enjoyable experience. The set up is extremely organised and makes for efficient prep and cooking. The food was delicious and there was so much we were really full at the end. All the staff were very friendly and helpful - it was exactly what we were hoping to get out of the day. We’re really glad that we came to Mai Home Hoi An.

5.00Our tour essentially had 3 parts - market, produce & general tour of Hoi An, coconut boat & palms, and actually cooking. All 3 sections were a lot of fun, and added to the experience. On the day we went, every booking (each had 3 to 5 people in each) was essentially a private tour, though I know they can do larger groups (the following day had 2 groups the following day - one of 15 people & the other 25). All of the food we cooked delicious and will be easy for us to replicate at home without having to buy/go searching for weird/exotic ingredients. The staff were excellent - very knowledgeable & charismatic.

5.00Definitely the highlight of our stay in Hoi An. Door to door service, exceptional customer service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. And the food was amazing! We were able to ale 4 different dishes each and provided with the recipes via email so we can recreate at home. Would absolutely recommend anyone visiting Hoi A take advantage of this great experience.

5.00My 2 teenage kids and myself have a great cooking experience. Best of all, we are able to eat the fruits of our labour- the tasty dishes whipped out under the close guidance and help from the chefs. While my younger kid and hubby rest and relax in the serenity of the farm and often poke around to check on our cooking! It was a truly enjoyable family bonding session!

5.00Not sure about what to do on a rainy day in Hoi An, we decided to book this cooking class. The experience was absolutely worth it, the trip to the market was great and while there Hung made us taste several fruits and vegetables typical of Vietnam, while also providing interesting insights about food culture. We were able to choose 4 dishes each (which I thought was a better option than a fixed menu) and they were all amazing after we cooked them under supportive and extensive guidance. In the end, they also shared the recipes. Overall, amazing experience.

5.00I agree with what everybody said before. 5 stars is not enough for this experience and like the Dutch couple before me, I would give it 10 if I could. Hung and is family are simply the best and I had a total ball yesterday. There was a last minute cancellation, so I was a very, very lucky girl having a private experience. The basket boat trip was very relaxing and shopping for ingredients at the local market was fantastic. Hung pointed out to me which stall sells the best Cao Lau and I went back today to have some for breakfast. He and his family are so welcoming and the cooking knowledge of the ladies as well as their patience and humour was amazing. In short, I had an absolute ball and wish I had some more time in Hoi An to go back and learn to cook the rest of the dishes on the menu. This is deffo a highlight not to be missed ❤️

5.005 stars are not enough! 10 STARS! My boyfriend and I have been warmly welcomed by the team at Mai Home Hoi An! We received a delicious welcome drink! We also received a recipe in video via Whatsapp. Super sweet! We were given clear instructions to make the perfect dish. And it was delicious! Important: We didn't have to rush and enjoy our appetizer. Then we continued cooking and were allowed to enjoy our main course. Our instruction was also funny, super sweet and a warm person. The tour in the garden we really liked because we got to know new types of basil that we definitely want in our garden! We also received a nice attention during our departure. What it is, you will discover for yourself on your visit. Last but not least! It was in a nice environment with lots of greenery around you. Good to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown. And the foot massage was super nice to end with. Thanks team Mai Home!!! This is not a pushed review. We recommend it to everyone!
Bike, market and cuisine

5.00I can't recommend it enough! A relaxing bike route through the rice paddies, followed by a very interesting tour of the market. Then, visit the orchards and start cooking classes. The workshop was great and the food delicious! Thank you very much.

5.00I had THE BEST experience at Hung and Mais Cooking class. I was picked up by hung in the morning who was soo lovely and got to experience the bamboo boat ride, going to the local market to pick up our produce for the meals! It was such an amazing experience Everyone was so hospitable and friendly! There was good array of options for what you were able to cook. It was just me on the day and I had an amazing chef Thuy she was sooo lovely! I would be back in heartbeat!!! 100% recommend to book if you are in hoi an not one to miss! Thank you again!!!
