Hoi An Eco Tourism Company is a local Eco-Tour operation run by our rice-farmer family in Cam Thanh Village, Hoi An. We have lived and worked here for generations and really love it. We would like to offer you a different kind of experience, to show you the authentic and unique daily life of the local fishing and farming communities of this village.
Join us and you will have a chance to take part in some hands-on activities and local practices that are fun, safe and interesting to people all of ages.
You will have a real connection with some local people, their culture, the landscape,the food and the environment, help you to understand more about Vietnamese rural culture and enrich your trip experience.
We want you to feel a little like you really live here for a short while. The typical calm and peace of the countryside life will take you far away from the hustle and bustle of city life,and you can enjoy daily life much as a native does.

This morning you will spend your day in a Farming & Fishing Life Tour which provides you with a close-up and intimate exposure to both the local farming and fishing communities. Accompanied by your tour guide, you will start the day cycling slowly along country roads and witnessing local Vietnamese rural life first hand and where you will have many photo opportunities. Then you will visit a beautiful organic vegetable village, where you will help watering and planting vegetable, hoeing the soil with a local farmer and seeing a water buffalo in a rice paddy field. The photo opportunities are endless. Later you will board our eco-tour boat for a river cruise to meet and engage with local fishermen and enjoy a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing. You will also experience paddling the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat along the waterways of coconut palm paradise. This tour provides you with a cultural window into the ways of life of both Vietnamese farming and fishing communities. When the tour finishes, you will be taken back to the hotel where you will have free time at leisure.

5.00Fantastic local tour - a variety of activities including farming, fishing, cycling, banana boat rides, cooking demonstrations and a lunch at the owner’s house. Well paced, fantastic food and no pushing shopping etc.. Well done!!

5.00Mr Hoang was a kind, thoughtful, and flexible guide who provided us with a collection of experiences from the playful to the educational. We opted to use our homestay’s provided bikes, and he guided us from there to a number of sites around his village and the surrounding rice paddies. Riding in a basket boat and sitting on a water buffalo were fun, but I particularly enjoyed our host’s clear and charming explanation and demonstration of rice farming and production, especially hulling and polishing rice using the same hand tools his parents used. The meal that concluded our brief cooking class was delicious (and felt well earned after our cycling and water buffalo-sitting). After lunch, our host led us safely back home.

5.00I went on the tour with my 8 year old son. We had a great day! I was driving a bike with my son seated behind me while Mr. Hong was driving motorbike very slowly and guiding our private tour. Mr. Hong was really nice and gave us good information along the way. After a good day program we drove to he's home, where we were served a delicious home cooked meal. Thisbwas one of the best things we did in Hoi An and recommend it highly! :)) Thanks again Mr. Hong & family!

5.00We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Hoi An Eco Tourism! The tour was well-organised, and every moment was enjoyable. Hoang was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about showcasing the beauty and culture of Hoi A farming and fishing. From the bike riding to the hands-on activities like traditional fishing and coconut boat rowing, every part of the tour felt authentic and immersive. It was amazing to learn about rice farming and to have an amazing cooking lesson Hoang’s home. This is a must-do for anyone visiting Hoi An! Highly recommend!

5.00Our family had an incredible experience on the biking and fishing tour with Mr. Hoang in Hoi An. Traveling with our 4- and 7-year-old, we were amazed at how engaging and well-paced the entire tour was. We started by biking from our villa through the stunning rice fields, soaking in the beautiful countryside. Mr. Hoang’s warmth and knowledge made every stop fascinating. We learned how to cast fishing nets and even fished for crabs, which was a huge hit with our kids! One of the highlights was learning about the traditional rice-making process — interactive and fun for all ages. The tour wrapped up with a delicious, home-cooked meal at Mr. Hoang’s house, making us feel like part of his family. This experience was the perfect mix of adventure, education, and authentic local culture. We highly recommend it to any family visiting Hoi An!

5.00Very good experience, Hoang and his family made us enjoy a wonderful morning around Hoi An. We have learned a lot about the Vietnamese culture and way of life. I highly recommend this experience.
We did visit rice fields, vegetable fields and we did fish.
