CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS: If you are arriving in Waitangi Wharf, the cruiseship provides FREE shuttle buses for cruise ship guests to transfer you into Paihia (5 minute bus ride)
The bus will drop you off outside the Paihia Wharf. Check-in at PIER 10

5.00We had a great cruise through the beautiful bay of islands to hole in the rock with Captain Blair and first mate Bree. The narration of the historical landings was very informative. As a smaller ship, people were able to move around the decks. Passing through the hole in the rock was pretty awesome. It’s a trip well worth booking if you are in the area. There are multiple companies offering a similar trip but we are very glad we booked with island getaways. Blair and Bree were awesome. Highly recommended!

5.00We took this tour while visiting Bay of Islands on a cruise ship. We were fortunate that our ship tendered directly to Paihia so the boat was literally right across the pier. Generally. ships tender to Waitangi, which requires a shuttle. Our crew was Blair and JT. They were great. Both had excellent knowledge of the area and the wildlife. They were also very attentive to the safety of the boat and passengers. The trip was great. We had a beautiful day with very smooth seas. We made two island stops both of which were very nice. One included a hike. My wife did it and said it was fairly strenuous. The second stop had a cafe/restaurant and a beach with snorkeling although the water was a little cold for us (about 70 degrees). The highlight was the cruise around and through the hole in the rock. It's an amazing formation surrounded by crystal clear water. We encountered a pod of dolphins on both ways to/from the rock. They were large and swam very close to the boat. We also saw a seal and some penguins. Blair said it was very unusual to encounter so much in one trip. We had a great day in Bay of Islands and highly recommend this trip.
Do this is you’re ever on the top of north island!

5.00Tour guides were friendly, informative and funny! It was a beautiful trip all round even got to see a playful seal. Loved the swim afterwards too. Lunch provided was also nice but they stop at and island which has a cafe too!

5.00What an awesome morning and afternoon! Loved the hike and views. Saw 1406 dolphins, one seal and one shark. Hole in The Rock was epic. Great friendly crew. Definitely get the packed lunch!

5.00EPIC day out, Blair and Audrey were the best crew, so helpful, chatty and friendly. We definitely got lucky with the weather and wildlife, but I think it would have been just as cool whatever the conditions! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great day out, we had such a lovely time.

5.00This excursion takes you to two islands and the Hole in the Rock. Blair (Captain) and JT (offsider) were excellent hosts and went out of their way to provide a wonderful experience. We were luck with great weather, calm seas and wildlife sightings. Blair took great care with a pod of dolphins who surrounded the boat and we spent time observing them. I recommend the packed lunch option - great value at $20 extra. Overall a wonderful experience!!!
