CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS: If you are arriving in Waitangi Wharf, the cruiseship provides FREE shuttle buses for cruise ship guests to transfer you into Paihia (5 minute bus ride)
The bus will drop you off outside the Paihia Wharf. Check-in at PIER 10

5.00Great tour, we got very lucky and saw a ton of dolphins at one of the stops. Out skipper Zach was a good narrator and the sailing was very smooth. I really enjoyed it!
Fabulous few hours round the islands

5.00What a fabulous trip this was! We had over 4 hours on a nice comfy boat, with entertaining crew who were all very friendly and helpful. We saw seabirds and seals as we travelled out to the Hole in The Rock. We actually went though the Hole which was pretty exciting! We had two stops, one we had a hike and saw the lagoons and the other was at Otehei where there was a nice cafe/bar and we watched the crew feed the fish. A really fun trip. Well worth the money and a great way to see some of the beautiful islands.

5.00Hamish, the Captain of Island Getaway tours gave us a memorable half-day boat tour in the Northland’s Bay of Islands. We were able to stop and hike on Roberton Island, as well as pull into 2 other Islands for better looks. The highlight was arriving at the Hole in the Rock and because of the Captain’s expertise, actually wait for a break in the swells and power through the hole to the other side. It was a thrilling experience and only achievable with a smaller boat and experienced captain. During the morning we saw seals, dolphins, an eagle ray and many sea birds. A lunch break on the beach at Otehai Bay was a nice break and opportunity for a swim. Hats off to Hamish and his personable crew for an exciting, educational experience!

5.00Great trip round islands and out to Hole in Rock. Very professional and slick operation. Captain Nick and crew Bluebell and Audrey were welcoming, chatty , informative and caring for our comfort ( as swell quite large after tropical storm). Had a good hike to Cook’s lookout, stop over for swimming / drink and good views of Hole. Nick handled the boat well to give us as smoothe a ride as possible. We hung around with Dolphins and fed fish in harbour. An all round pleasurable afternoon.

5.00We boarded the boat in Russell. We were the last people to board as most people boarded in Paihia. We sat below which I normally don’t like because I get a bit seasick. The windows were all open though and I could get up and walk around so it was fine. I actually felt less seasick then when I went up top! The captain was very informative and we learned a lot. The staff, Audrey and Bluebell were so nice!! We enjoyed the hike up on one of the islands, beautiful views! The island where we spent an hour was nice bit if you want to eat lunch and snorkel if wasn’t long enough. Personally I would skip the snorkeling and take a short walk. I would definitely recommend this tour!
