Lovely day out .No dolphins though sadly .Would have been great if dolphins were tracked for us to see sonar wise Especially with advertising re same .

More than we ever could have imagined. The staff took us through the hole in the Rock, a child's choir sag and it was AMAZING! Well worth going.

This was an excellent tour of the Bay of Islands, with excellent commentary from the captain of the ship, and an excellent boating experience. Our tour started in what was at-times torrential rain, and ended with sunny skies. The experience out at the Hole in the Rock was fantastic, the sights and learning about the history of the Bay of Islands insightful, and the stop at Otehei Bay on Urupakapaka Island was also unique - we took a walk up the hills amongst the sheep! The only downside for us was the 3-plus hour bus ride each way from Auckland (not a part of the cruise!).

We went on this tour knowing the weather wasn't going to be perfect. However the Captain and staff did much to make it a great trip. The 'hole in the wall' is a large hole through a rock and on a good day a boat can be taken through. However, due to the swell the trip through the hole wasn't possible. No worries - we ventured in as far as it was safe to do so from both sides. The commentary from the Captain was informative and fun. He certainly knew lots of the history of the islands. When entering the open ocean we were warned in a light hearted way that it was going to get bumpy. However, staff came round at regular intervals to check everyone was ok. Great fun, very professional & would certainly recommend.

We saw dolphins , stingray and snapper from the boat. Amazing. Staff were excellent . Well worth the money and great experience

A great day out. Excellent crew (Felix, Marty), full of knowledge and helpful information. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, whales (for half a second, but at least we saw them), penguins, albatross and a seal. Had time for nice walk around the island after having gone through the Hole in the Rock. Thanks to everyone involved.

From the staff in the office who took our booking to Marty and his crew we had a fabulous day out on the water today. The whole experience was awesome, very informative, fun commentary, the staff were very helpful, and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend it.

The ride was great. The captain was funny and told a lot. We saw blue penguins, bottlenosedolphins and a baby room. The drive through the hole in the rock has made him something spectacular and also the drive into the grotto. Staying on the island is great, it is worth hiking the yellow path to see the bays of the island from above and walk through the sheep herds.
