At Home of Carlsberg, you step inside an iconic area with an exhibition and attraction in the heart of Carlsberg's original brewery. You will be taken back to where it all started in 1847 with the story of what Carlsberg was and is today. Learn more about the science that has played an essential role for Carlsberg since its foundation. Of course, you can taste a perfectly served draft beer fresh from the tap in the cozy Carlsberg Bar, followed by a visit to our majestic brewing horses in the stable. End your visit by feeling the presence of of history in the lively brewery yard or enjoying the peaceful oasis in the sculpture garden.

Home of Carlsberg only offer alcoholic beverage to travelers who are 18 or older. Minor travelers below 18 years old will be served non-alcoholic drinks.

Welcome to the Home of Carlsberg! At Home of Carlsberg, you step inside an iconic area with an exhibition and attraction in the heart of Carlsberg's original brewery. You will be taken back to where it all started in 1847 with the story of what Carlsberg was and is today. The exhibition unfolds the captivating story of Carlsberg and Carlsberg's founder, J.C. Jacobsen, and his son, Carl Jacobsen. A story about how disputes between father and son and widely differing perceptions of beer brewing have shaped Carlsberg. Through interactive games and videos in the exhibition, you will learn more about the science that has played an essential role for Carlsberg since its foundation and its importance for the development of beer worldwide. You will also experience one of the world's largest bottle collections, with more than 22,000 beer bottles. And that is just a fraction of what the exhibition contains.

5.00Spent a great few hours here. Enjoyed it more than I expected to. Very interesting and informative. Lots of nice interactive things to do. Beer included at the end of the tour was delicious. Absolutely loved seeing the beautiful horses. Worth a visit.

4.00This would have been a 5 if photo scans were working correctly. Alot of knowledge and digital interactions. Self paced which is great, and videos on repeat. Dont the secret cellars tour also which was good, guide extremely knowledgeable

5.00Highly recommend this tour! It’s a self driven tour so you can spend as much time as you like wandering round. There’s so much to see and do, loads of interactive games and photo opportunities. The bar at the end is gorgeous too. Plus they have stables so you can visit horses there too. Really fun day out!

4.00Really interesting tour of the home of Carlsberg. Lots to learn about the history and philanthropy of the family and their pursuit of the perfect beer. Self guided tour so you can take it at your own pace. Nice touch of a taste of lager at the start and a full glass at the end. Also a chance to meet the draught horses that still pull the beer wagons through the city. Good to walk up to the factory via the elephant gates.
