At Home of Carlsberg, you step inside an iconic area with an exhibition and attraction in the heart of Carlsberg's original brewery. You will be taken back to where it all started in 1847 with the story of what Carlsberg was and is today. Learn more about the science that has played an essential role for Carlsberg since its foundation. Of course, you can taste a perfectly served draft beer fresh from the tap in the cozy Carlsberg Bar, followed by a visit to our majestic brewing horses in the stable. End your visit by feeling the presence of of history in the lively brewery yard or enjoying the peaceful oasis in the sculpture garden.

Home of Carlsberg only offer alcoholic beverage to travelers who are 18 or older. Minor travelers below 18 years old will be served non-alcoholic drinks.

Welcome to the Home of Carlsberg! At Home of Carlsberg, you step inside an iconic area with an exhibition and attraction in the heart of Carlsberg's original brewery. You will be taken back to where it all started in 1847 with the story of what Carlsberg was and is today. The exhibition unfolds the captivating story of Carlsberg and Carlsberg's founder, J.C. Jacobsen, and his son, Carl Jacobsen. A story about how disputes between father and son and widely differing perceptions of beer brewing have shaped Carlsberg. Through interactive games and videos in the exhibition, you will learn more about the science that has played an essential role for Carlsberg since its foundation and its importance for the development of beer worldwide. You will also experience one of the world's largest bottle collections, with more than 22,000 beer bottles. And that is just a fraction of what the exhibition contains.

4.00Its well worth visiting the Carlsburg experience, it’s great fun interactive you learn a lot you get to taste some beers and as a major recommendation I suggest you tell the restaurant with the food was incredible

1.00Was very misinformed about the tour. At no time during the purchase of our tickets did the counter person mention that there would be a beer at the start and end of the tour until we purchased the beer tasting tour. Asked for a refund and it was not honoured.

4.00“Really enjoyed the Carlsberg brewery experience! The historic grounds and buildings are beautiful, and the exhibition does a great job blending Carlsberg’s rich history with interactive displays and fun beer facts. The guided elements and tasting session were highlights—fresh beer straight from the source hits differently. It’s well-organized and informative without feeling too commercial. My only minor gripe is that it’s a bit of a trek from central Copenhagen and you’ll want to allocate a few hours. Still, a solid visit for beer lovers and history buffs. Definitely worth it—4/5 stars! 🍺”

4.00We booked for the 10.15 am tour but I don't think it matters about the exact time, as you have to get there 15 minutes beforehand but they didn't open the gates till after 10.00 am. I really interesting tour about the brewery and family quite alot of steps but there is a lift to come down near the end. If you are a Liverpool FC you will really appreciate the dressing room, if not you'll probably avoid it 😃 You have a free beer or soft drink at the end of the tour and a near area to drink it. We also booked for 12pm the beer tasting which went down well and was popular. A great visit enjoyed by all.
