Enjoy a great morning horseback ride through coconut plantations, mangrove trees and on Playa Larga Beach which is the longest beach of the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo area. As you ride your horse on the beach there will be a nice ocean breeze and the results of: vegetation, ocean waves, lagoon and mountain range will make the horseback ride beautiful and pleasant.
The horses are friendly, well trained and very good for experienced riders and also for beginners, you will have the chance to go at your own pace and while riding on the beach you can even make the horse go at a faster pace.
You will ride on the horse for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, and will have the opportunity to take pictures with your own camera and the tour guide will also offer to take pictures of you with your camera.
At the end of the ride we will provide you with a good cold beer or a bottle of water.

On this one hour and 10 minutes horseback-ride experience, you will ride through the beautiful beach of Playa Larga, which is the longest beach in the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo Area. There will be a lagoon behind the beach with lots of mangrove trees , you will also see the Sierra Madre mountains and a coconut plantation. In the middle of the ocean there will be 2 beautiful rock formations that you can take a picture. After the horseback ride you will be taken back to your hotel.

5.00Great communication. We had no issues with the pick up and drop off at Hotel. Our driver and guide were fun and courteous. There was only myself and my wife and we felt like we got first class treatment. I would highly recommend this experience. We went in the morning and had no issues with the heat. Our guide was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Riding on the majestic beach was a highlight of our trip

5.00We had a great time! We were a large group with 5 young kids and they all did awesome! The horses were very well trained and super calm. Our guide was fun and had full control over the horses and our group. We will definitely be back!
Playa Larga Beach Horseback Riding

5.00Guillermo took us from Zihua to Playa Larga and met with Pablo and the horses. We rode through the small village to the sandy beach. Beautiful, slow, tranquil ride with our puppy companion.

5.00Great day, rustic experience with Randy and our pony’s. It was a great day, only suggestion is to wear jeans / pants when hot, that’s on us. The guide took us on a path through the coconut plantation and lagoon.
A must do in Zihua!

5.00Great experience with Pablo, Luis & Ramon. The horses were very sweet, gentle & well care for. The ride was perfect for a summer morning before it got too hot. Highly recommend.

5.00Had a great time. Luis picked us up then we met up w Ramon. Both were great. Learned about the area. The horses were very intelligent and knew exactly where to go. We were on the beach, then passed by a lagoon, then through a coconut plantation. Galloping was out of the question for me, so my girl didn’t get to do it either even though she wanted to. Would recommend. It’s beautiful here.

5.00We booked our airport transfer as well as the Zihuatenejo- Ixtapa private tour and horseback riding excursions through Luis He was very communicative from the very start and very accommodating For the private tour, Francisco was our guide, and he was wonderful and knowledgeable For the horseback riding, Ramon was our guide and he was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and funny. The horses were very well cared for and so smart. They were gentle too Front Ramon would tell the horses “photo” and the horse says would stand in position side-by-side for the photo op We plan on returning to the area and will be using his services again! Thank you Luis, Paco and Ramon!

This horseback riding tour was, without a doubt, the highlight of my trip. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ramon, our fantastic tour guide, whose passion and knowledge made the experience truly special. He was incredibly patient, ensuring that both beginners and experienced riders felt comfortable and confident. His storytelling and deep connection to the land made the journey even more meaningful. A huge shoutout to Luis, our driver, who was professional, friendly, and ensured a smooth and safe journey to and from the riding site. His great attitude and attention to detail added to the overall experience. The ride itself was absolutely breathtaking—stunning landscapes, fresh air, and a peaceful connection with nature that made the experience magical. The horses were well cared for and well-trained, making the ride enjoyable and stress-free. I can’t recommend this tour enough! If you have the chance, DO IT! It’s an experience you’ll never forget.
