On our trails, from beginners to experts, everyone can experience their own personal freedom on horseback.

We begin every ride with an introduction to the horses and the Chilean style of riding because at Antilco we strive to give every visitor a personalized experience. Each rider is specifically matched to one of our twenty four well-trained and sure stepping Criollo horses to ensure maximal enjoyment!

Our professional, bilingual guides take a hands on approach and will teach you along the way so that you learn to actually ride your horse, instead of blindly following the leader.

Whereas even beginners will have great fun on the 2 hour ride , to enjoy our 4 hours ride you schould have some expereince in mountain riding as the trail is partially steep.

On the half day trek, starting on our ranch, we ride on single trails in pastures, along the LIucura river and into the forest of the Carhuello mountain range. On this ride we combine narrow trails in lush forest with riding on open meadows and along a wild river. In many parts we enjoy great views over three volcanoes: Villarrica, Quetrupillan and Lanin. On our way we have a stop at a small but stunningly beautifull waterfall. On this ride we usually go walking, trotting, cantering and galloping, but start quite slow so everyone gets used to his horse and the other way round: horses get used to you. We have a weight limit of 80 kilos for our riders. Only suitable for experienced riders, to enjoy this ride you should have experience in riding mountains as the trail is partially steep. As a novice you will have a great time on our two hours ride.

Had the most amazing trekking experience with Mara and their most wonderful horses. We are relative novices and Mara gave us excellent tuition and made us feel very safe the entire ride. We explored the foothills of the mountains, waterfalls, cantered over meadows and walked along the river. It was simply stunning.

I contacted in January 2025 to book the service for April, and when the minute came communication with the Company was almost zero. I couldn’t make it to the ride because they “assumed” I had checked the website and knew the meeting point. They blame me “for not being informed.” A real joke, especially considering I'm on the eve of my honeymoon. Dire!

Love, love this place. My first time with them, but not my first horseback ride in Pucon. Everything about this place is wonderful come to see for yourself. The horses, the paths, the views, the guides (all volunteers working for lodge and experience) a wonderful 2 1/2 hours treat. You won’t be disappointed.

Travel period: 2024/2025 New Year’s Eve Ride/11 Days Chile-Argentina – Almost 300 kilometres across the Andes We booked the New Year's Eve ride/11 days Chile-Argentina directly with the provider “Antilco” 2024/2025. To anticipate – it was INDESCRIBABLE! From the inquiry to the settlement everything worked wonderfully. We got in touch with Mathias Boss, the owner and then got all our questions answered via WhatsApp in a joint appointment – right away the first exchange was very friendly and helpful for planning. (about 9 months before trip start) Arriving at the ranch “Antilco” we were warmly welcomed by Mathias, his wife, his daughter Mara and the staff. The “Campo Antilco” property is very well maintained, idyllic and also culinary you get very good and also healthy food (much from own cultivation). We were allocated the horses that were selected for us in advance , on the basis of our information about the riding experience etc. Our little house for the first night was very nice and cozy. At a meal together, the exchange with the other fellow travellers is made very easy (we were 5 participants) We were with Mara and two other guides for the first 7 days in Chile. The horses were optimally matched to the respective riding experience, selected. The horses are quiet, absolutely sure-footed – it couldn’t get any better. Every day was unique and different – the landscape was overwhelmingly beautiful and a varied experience of nature. Over mountains, through rivers, bamboo forests, araucaria forests, volcanic landscapes and along crystal clear lakes. Up to the volcanic crater, past a glacial lake with views of the surrounding volcanoes and mountain ranges – simply breathtaking and no matter where we were, we were always surprised how varied and with how much love our guides fed us. Whether at breakfast, by the campfire, at noon by the lake, on a volcano or wherever, we were deliciously pampered. We were always amazed how it was possible with so little luggage to serve even cool beer, red wine or a perfect piscu sour with dinner. Mara and her crew were perfectly organized – culinary and otherwise this was an organizational masterpiece – without exception on all 7 days. As far as being accompanied by the guides, we felt safe at all times. In every situation, they have thought carefully and calmly, acted safely and adequately. This calmness and security has spread to the whole group. You can think of this as a great evening adventure with unpredictable obstacles. Interpersonally, Mara and the crew were incredibly emphatic. Anyone considering whether to book a horseback riding tour with Antilco (however long) should not think, but just do it!!! For us it was the first hiking ride. Yes, we have no other comparison that is true, but our other 3 participants, who were very experienced (each about 30 hiking tours, such as Iceland/India/Mongolia/South Africa/ etc.) said at the end of this trip that this cannot be topped. Horses and guides were changed at the Argentine border. Here it gets very fast...so if you don't have enough experience in galloping, you could quickly reach your limits. In Argentina we had two guides. Unfortunately, the second guide did not know the route, otherwise you could have split the group for the faster routes - for the very “fast” and for less experienced riders. Overall, an unforgettable adventure that made us want to go on more adventures on horseback.

A fantastic 3.5 hour ride in the hills around Pucon. We can recommend Antilco to anyone who enjoys horses, they are a serious operation. we had an amazing time with fabulous views, great conversation from the 2 girls accompanying us from Antilco. One of our best Chilean experiences!

Visiting Chile for the first time, the highlight (and purpose) of our holiday was a six day tour on horses through the national parks with Campo Antilco. We were not prepared for such a well organised trip! In advance, the communication through email was quick and helpful. Once there, we noticed that they take really good care of their horses and spend proper time to realise a match between horse and rider, before the (small) group leaves for the multiple day tour. The horses are well trained and you can trust them completely in their natural environment. The group was accompanied by two highly qualified staff members, who took care of everything. The route in itself was beautiful! During our trip, our breakfast, lunch and dinner, were every time a surprise. Since we were trekking, everything had to be brought with us on the horses and it was amazing how they were able to serve such enjoyable food over and over again. Every morning and evening there was a proper campfire for warmth and to prepare the food. Looking back, our expectations were not only met, but exceeded.

If you like horseback riding, adventure, and stunning views and you have 2 days in Pucon, then Antilco is your place for your next adventure. Antilco has packed in only days memories for a lifetime. Well done!! Highly recommended trip to see the volcanos closely and away from the busy trails. Thank you, Antilco!!
