5.00We hired a driver for the day to visit the Imperial Tombs. His name was Hoa and he not only gave us pleasant transportation, he was also a friendly, knowledgeable, and interesting guide. We learned the history of the rulers and their families who were buried there, and he walked with us through the grounds, answering all our questions. Afterwards, he let us stop to shop and see incense being made. It was our most enjoyable day. Highly recommended!

5.00This was a great tour. 1/2 day tours (for me) take a full days worth of energy. 4-5 hours is plenty of time. My guide was lovely. He went above and beyond when he offered to take me to Thich Nhat Hanh’s monastery and resting place. Had I gone on my own I probably would not have gone in far enough to the his ashes and shrine. This was incredibly meaningful to me. The incense making took about 3 minutes but was such a highlight. It was pure joy. Private tours are my favourite way to travel. I get overwhelmed by crowds especially when jet lagged from crossing 13 time zones. Private tours allow me to ask my questions, learn from the guide and enjoy silence when I need :) Vietnam is a place of constant noise and private tours offer a little peace while still being an explorer.
Awesome guide. Took all the work out of it.

5.00From start to finish, our visit to the tombs and Citadel was a delight! Hoa was our local driver! Very informative! Before each place we visited, Hoa gave us an overview of what we would be seeing. He put the place into historical context which helped us understand more about Vietnam and the type of architecture. Hoa was entertaining, knowledgeable and so helpful! Take this tour, you won’t be disappointed!

5.00Hoa was an incredible driver who gave us lots of information about the places we visited. We learned a lot from him. He is very welcoming and kind. We had a wonderful afternoon and discovered some beautiful places! He also gives great advice on places to visit in Vietnam. We highly recommend tours with Hoa!!

5.00Hoa was our guide on this wonderful and informative tour. He confirmed with us ahead of time and picked us up promptly at our hotel. Hoa’s English is excellent and his knowledge of the Tombs of Minh Mang, Tu Duc, Mausoleum of Khai Dinh and Thien Mu Pagoda extensive. His guided tour also gave us the history of Hue. We had plenty of time to explore each monument and Hoa patiently answered all of our questions. I highly recommend this tour and company.

5.00Highly recommended tour. Sam, with a private driver, makes the essential stops and more so you can visit the most important things in Hue in one day. We went to the Imperial City, the pagoda, the imperial tombs... A very pleasant and enjoyable day thanks to Sam. English perfect. Thanks!!

5.00Our guide and driver were so awesome and flexible with us, they took us straight to lunch since we had an afternoon tour. Then because we only had the one afternoon in Hue our guide actually recommended tweaking the tour so we could also see the Imperial City (not included in this tour). We did the Thien Mu Pagoda and dragon boat ride (note the boat owner asks you to buy things and for money), then we went to the Tomb of Khai Dinh, and the Imperial City. All were excellent and our guide was great. We had our luggage with us and the guide organised with her friend to hold onto our luggage at her restaurant in the city so we could go and explore before our train left in the evening.

5.00We had a great tour with Thanh of the tombs and citadel in Hue. We only had a limited amount of time due to an afternoon flight but Thanh was still able to take us around to see all the highlights of Hue. He was knowledgeable, efficient, excellent guide, and a great photographer on top of that. Highly recommend for anyone visiting!
