Upon arriving at An Nhien Garden Restaurant, An Nhien Garden's storyteller is to welcome the guests and give them a tour around the establishment, starting with the Ancestral Home of a family with nearly half a millennium of history living on the same land. Here, the guests will hear stories of the origin of An Nhien Garden's owners' family dating from 1558 until today as they are invited inside one of the most traditional ancestral homes of Hue city. After the historical and cultural stories, guests are shown the Open Space Art Exhibition with 50+ artworks ranging from ancient rock arrangements to contemporary sculptures and abstract paintings. Finally, guests are to sit down and begin the cookery class, instructed by An Nhien Garden's chef. Our chef will show guests how to make two of the restaurant's most popular dishes: Fig and king oyster mushroom salad, and An Nhien rolls. A full-course meal is included in the package and will follow as soon as the cookery class is finished.

5.00Honestly such an incredible experience. Nhien was truly amazing. She gave us a tour of the grounds and touched on the history of her family. Her passion for her culture and food is shown so greatly and the food was absolutely delicious. Cannot recommend her cooking class enough! This class was one of the highlights of the entire trip.

5.00Nhiem is a beautiful person. She has perfect English and a great sense of fun. She is very well organised, the cooking classroom is very well set up and the food we made was great. Combined with more food from the restaurant we had a superb lunch, and a delightful tour of the garden. A great day out.

5.00Lovely guide Nhien took us through the history of her family’s incredible compound and how she and her sister started the restaurant. We cooked two dishes, including an amazing fig-based salad. The food was great!

5.00The most wonderful setting. The house was amazing and the garden spectacular. They have some lovely sculptures and art to see in the garden. The restaurant was beautiful and the cooking class was great. Nice to learn something different and so tasty. I would highly recommend it

5.00This is more than a cooking class! Nhien opens the door to his garden but also opens our eyes to what life in the region was like during the war, the resilience that some have shown and his philosophy of life. A big gap with "the Occidental way of life"! Although we are convinced carnivores, we were won over by this cuisine. It was delicious 😍
