This isn't just "old jewelry." The Holy Crown of Hungary has a history more dramatic than a Netflix series—it’s been stolen, buried, lost, and returned by the U.S. government. You will stand in the massive, 27-meter-high Dome Hall, watched over by stoic guards with drawn sabers, to see the crown and its tilted cross up close. It’s the symbolic heart of the nation.
You’ll ascend the Grand Stairway, a space so opulent it makes most European palaces look like a DIY renovation. Imagine walking past massive granite columns—of which only 12 exist in the entire world—under ceilings painted by Károly Lotz. Every inch of the walls is covered in gold leaf and intricate frescoes that tell the story of a thousand-year-old kingdom.

5.00The tour packs in the right amount of history with facts about the construction of the building. Very interesting details and beautiful views of the inside - including the coronation regalia! Very glad we went.

5.00Had a great visit to the Parliament Building. Beautifully maintained and instantly identifiable with Budapest. Rosie, our contact point at the outset, was stupendous, going over and above the call of duty, using her own mobile data- the Parliament has no fee WI-FI- to sort a cock-up of my own making regarding my ticket. She was a star and without her I would have been sunk. I cannot sing her praises highly enough and she totally made my visit memorable. Her employers should take note!!! Thanks Rosie, you are wonderful.

3.00The tour operator gets you a ticket and gets you in the correct line and then the tour is provided by the parliament. I bought through viator because I had issues trying to buy it directly from the parliament website. Tour was fine and building was beautiful, but the tour audio is pre-recorded. I had issue finding the viator tour operator. The instructions were decent, but I was at the wrong visitor center door. I was on the river side door. Also, my viator instructions said the operator would have a sign, but it didn't tell me what the sign would say. I would book this tour again, just had a little panic meeting the group.

Guide who was supposed to hand out tickets showed up late and made everyone late for their assigned tour time !!

1.00Guide showed up 20 minutes late and waited on a couple for 10 minutes that never showed up. Everyone else was late for their assigned tour time.

4.00Taxi dropped us off at wrong end of building. We had to move quickly to get to visitor entrance which is farthest (up river) from city center. Once we entered, all was well and tour was enjoyable. Takes about an hour.
