This isn't just "old jewelry." The Holy Crown of Hungary has a history more dramatic than a Netflix series—it’s been stolen, buried, lost, and returned by the U.S. government. You will stand in the massive, 27-meter-high Dome Hall, watched over by stoic guards with drawn sabers, to see the crown and its tilted cross up close. It’s the symbolic heart of the nation.
You’ll ascend the Grand Stairway, a space so opulent it makes most European palaces look like a DIY renovation. Imagine walking past massive granite columns—of which only 12 exist in the entire world—under ceilings painted by Károly Lotz. Every inch of the walls is covered in gold leaf and intricate frescoes that tell the story of a thousand-year-old kingdom.

Hungarian Parliament Building
Booking a tour of the Hungarian Parliament isn't just a building walk-through; it’s a deep dive into the "Golden Age" of Budapest. As one of the largest and most expensive legislative buildings in the world (housing roughly 40kg of 22-carat gold), the experience is designed to be as grand as the history it holds. Nice experience, good organization, great explanation, overall however the cost is excessive (however in line with the costs of other experiences offered in the city)

Viator representative was timely, clear in her instructions and stayed with the group until we were turned over to the official guides. No complaints!

They misrepresent the time. I was told a 9:30 tour, and to be there at nine. Of course I got there at 8:45 to be sure. A full hour and 15 minutes later I was admitted thru security.

The visit is superb but the organization very bad. We had booked a tour at 12:00. We were asked to show up half an hour before to let us in only at 12:15.

Hazardous organization with erroneous schedules. Then visit a staircase 2 corridors and 3 rooms. Visit supervised by guards constantly asking us to hurry. It is better to look at it from the outside because the inside brings nothing.

Read the little letters and get to the hours... get to the hours. We were at the entrance for the start of the visit at the scheduled time to follow with the guide. However, since we could not be there before that hour, the visit began without us... we lost the tickets, dear, by the way, for what is shown. We had to buy new engravings, on time and place, cheaper and that offered exactly the same as the engravings purchased in relative advance. It is not worth buying tickets in advance and booking, unless we have all the time counted, which in Budapest is not necessary.

Long process of waiting to get in (plus they kept waiting on people who were VERY LATE), but the Parliament itself was incredible. We were first told to be there 15 minutes early, then 30 minutes, but the Viator reps were even late. A lot of nervous people were gathered wondering if we were in the wrong location or if we had been scammed. Tour was for 2:30 but we didn’t actually begin the process until after 3 pm. Was advertised as a quick 45-minute tour when the process seemed to take almost 2 hours. Once inside: every much enjoyed the tour.
