Hoi An
Our lunchtime food tour invites guests on a culinary experience around Hoi An. It's a carefully curated food adventure, led by our team of professional food guides. Before we get started, our tour reflects the local cuisine, & the limitations of street food vendors means we unfortunately cannot cater for every dietary restriction. Here's an honest appraisal for the tour, so no-one is disappointed: ✘ Unsuitable for vegetarian diets sorry, as there would be 3-4 less tastings. ✖️ Unsuitable for severe allergies, halal and celiac diets, due to the risk of traces & cross-contamination. If you are feeling adventurous for a foodie journey, read on!
Hoi An
Most tourists only scratch the surface of Hoi An’s food traditions; our 15+ taster tour dives into the culinary underbelly of the Ancient Town and the local village of Tra Que. Morning starts in the bustle of the market, hunting down the food heroes once championed by Anthony Bourdain - tossing chewy bánh bot loc dumplings in a flavorful broth. Next, we stop by Mr. Ly’s stall, he’s been up since the early hours crafting Vietnamese "wedding dumplings," delicately bundled in green banana leaves. From herby clam salad to steamy wonton soup, we're uncovering the bowls that have fed hungry locals for decades. Try the Hoi An original cao lâu noodles, whose ingredients were forged in the pestle and mortar of history, migrating here alongside the ambition of Chinese and Japanese mercantile trade.

It was a great experience with tour guide Andy - so much insights on the local food scene and operators in Hoi An . Great hands on experience with the rice paper making and love the farm to fork lunch. Amazing experience and I would 100% recommend this tour and start with an empty stomach

We had an excellent time on our food tour with Quinn. It was a warm day but Quinn made sure we had shady spots to enjoy our food and kept us well hydrated. I particularly love that she celebrated food with history and origins in Hoi A rather than Vietnamese food that become more popular overseas. Would highly recommend, particularly as a good experience!

Having been on the “Chef’s Tour” in Penang, we trusted this Hoi An tour would be great, and we were not disappointed! Even my picky five year old enjoyed all the bites! Quin was such a fantastic guide - She explained the ins and outs of Hoi An, the history, and so many fun details about the food. We had a really wonderful time, and would certainly book again!

We had an absolutely fantastic food tour in Hoi An, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing guide, Quyn. From the very beginning, she made us feel welcome and comfortable, and her passion for both food and Vietnamese culture really stood out. The food itself was incredible — we tasted so many local dishes that we never would have found on our own. Quyn explained not just what we were eating, but also the stories behind each dish, the ingredients, and why they are so important in Vietnamese daily life. Every stop felt authentic and thoughtfully chosen. What made this tour extra special, though, was that it went far beyond food. Quyn shared so much about life in Vietnam, traditions, family, history, and modern culture. The conversations felt very personal and genuine, not like a scripted tour. It honestly felt like walking through Hoi An with a local friend rather than a guide. Quyn’s English was excellent, her knowledge impressive, and her warmth unforgettable. If you’re looking for a food tour that combines delicious food, cultural insight, and a truly personal experience, I cannot recommend this tour — and Quyn — highly enough. It was one of the highlights of our time in Vietnam.

Had such an enjoyable day today on this tour. This tour had it all for me with little hidden gems in the old town and a visit to an organic farm outside the town. It really was great value for money with all with all the different foods we tried. The guide Quin was so genuinely kind and informative and helped us to understand the foods we were trying and how it was connected to this town/area of Vietnam. Just do the tour, it is worth it.

This food tour was an excellent introduction to Hoi An’s street food scene and local culture. From the very beginning, the guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable, even if it was their first time trying Vietnamese food. We visited a great mix of small local eateries and street stalls that I never would have found on my own. Each stop felt carefully chosen, and the food was fresh, delicious, and authentic. The guide explained what each dish was, how it’s traditionally eaten, and a bit of history behind it, which really added to the experience. There was plenty of food, and I left feeling full but not rushed. What stood out most was how well the tour balanced food, culture, and unique experiences only found in Hoi An. It felt like more than just eating; it was a genuine insight into daily life. The pace was relaxed, questions were always welcomed, and the guide happily adjusted for dietary preferences. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hoi An, whether it’s your first day in the city or you’ve been here a while and want to understand the food scene better. It’s a great way to eat well, learn a lot, and explore the city with a local.

Absolutely loved this food tour! My family and I had an incredible experience trying out the whole array of super delicious Vietnamese dishes specific to Hoi An! I am Vietnamese visiting from abroad and despite visiting Hoi An many times in the past, I feel I understood more about the Hoi An culture and history through this food tour since our tour guide Quin, a native from Hoi An, had a lot of knowledge about her hometown and its history. The food tour has many stops and at most stops we had various yummy dishes. We loved as well going to the traditional organic farm which is located outside the old town so we got a glimpse of the countryside part too. Quin, the guide, is a sweetheart, very friendly and warm. Really recommend this tour to everyone who wants to try out the traditional dishes from the best eateries in Hoi An, with long standing tradition and reputation. I doubt I could have found these places on my own.
