You’ll explore hidden alleys, arcades, and eateries only locals know, stopping at five hand-picked spots we visit often. Enjoy 15+ dishes, 3 local drinks, and Osaka favourites like takoyaki, karaage, kushikatsu, udon, and oden among many others.

Shinsekai

Time permitting, we’ll take a short stroll around Shinsekai—an often-overlooked area packed with hidden gems, fun facts, and sights to discover.

Tsutenkaku

Walk past Tsutenkaku, the famous landmark tower that is the focal point of the area and see where kushikatsu all began. Walk through the streets that over a century ago, were designed to bring a western feeling to Osaka.

Our tour guide, Tim, was so knowledgeable about the history of Osaka and the food. We had an amazing time chatting with Tim and getting to know the other people in our group. He answered all of our questions and definitely went above and beyond. We had a super fun time chatting, eating and drinking. He also gave great recommendations for the rest of our trip. Definitely our favorite tour in Osaka. 10/10 would recommend!

It was so fun and our guide was lively and involved. She made it a great experience. My favorite was the fried chicken, delicious. A nice variation of foods.

Literally too much fun. Anna was an amazing guide, sharing facts about the area and everything we needed to know about the food. Our group ended up staying later at the last bar for another round of drinks, which is a testament to Anna's ability to bring together a group of strangers. Anna was also very conscious of food allergies and was ready to suggest/ provide alternatives. Great value- I had way too much food and every bite was fantastic. One of the best experiences of our trip to Japan!

So much good food at restaurants you'd likely never find on your own. Tim was a fantastic, friendly, funny, knowledgeable and flexible tour guide. Come very hungry!!

It's one thing to eat a range of new and delicious food, but it's made better when you also get the history behind the food and the unique area. Our guide, Tim, was warm, knowledgeable and entertaining! Every little restaurant offered something unique in a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Arrive hungry! You'll be completely full by the end.

Anna was a terrific guide, showing our group local spots with delicious food in a lively area away from the main more tourist focused parts of Osaka. She was able to keep the tour lively and fun for the whole duration with plenty of interaction, and there was more than enough food to fill you up. Communication and organisation leading up to the start of the tour was also good.

Adam was an amazing guide! So knowledgeable about Osaka and its fun facts making its experience super fun. Went with my wife and we did the tour with a group of 8 which was a perfect. Tried a multitude of dishes with about 3 drinks included.
