Time permitting, we’ll take a short stroll around Shinsekai—an often-overlooked area packed with hidden gems, fun facts, and sights to discover.
Tsutenkaku
Walk past Tsutenkaku, the famous landmark tower that is the focal point of the area and see where kushikatsu all began. Walk through the streets that over a century ago, were designed to bring a western feeling to Osaka.

Anna was such a fantastic host she kept the experience upbeat and engaging while sharing interesting history and great insight into the local food scene. 5.00Adam Smith was an amazing tour guide! He took us to multiple restaurants of differing cuisine that my wife and I enjoyed. We loved hearing his stories and explanations of the food we were about to eat. Each restaurant had very friendly staff that you could tell enjoyed Adam’s company. We would highly recommend booking with Adam for anybody looking for an Osaka food experience or other tours!

5.00Anna was a phenomenal tour guide and hilarious company. Her Ōsaka knowledge and local anecdotes truly made the experience for me. By the end of the tour our group felt like friends I’ve always known and I came out with a new perspective in places I might have otherwise overlooked. Anna brought us to some of the most delicious street food restaurants where everyone treated us like family. The atmosphere in each spot was unique. We learned local vocabulary, fun facts and stories which made us laugh until we were crying. The pace was perfect, the drinks plentiful, and the food was perfect. I highly recommend this to solo travelers as well as groups. We had an excellent experience. Anna needs a raise!

5.00Had a great time on this evening food walking tour. Andy brought us to 5 small restaurants where we had a number of dishes at each. A good mix of a comedy show, history tour, and food tasting is how I would describe the tour. Definitely recommend.

5.00Our tour guide Anna made the experience one I’ll never forget! I loved trying food from small businesses that I would not have tried otherwise. Trying to figure out what to eat in Osaka can be daunting because there is so much to choose from so this tour was really helpful. I would definitely recommend this tour, and our tour guide Anna to everyone!

5.00The tour was excellent, filled with engaging stories about Osaka and Japanese culture. Our guide, Kenzo, was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen to throughout the evening. He also made a thoughtful effort to ensure I was well taken care of as a vegetarian, which I truly appreciated. Overall, this is a must-do experience in Osaka.
