Led by Andy, Scott or Tim, your experienced & fully bilingual guides, you will be offered an authentic foodie experience in the hidden gem of Shinsekai. With your guide who has lived in the area for years, the evening will be personable and veritable. Known as the “Kitchen of Japan”, Osaka is a city that is tailor-made for a memorable evening out for foodies. Mixed with history, culture and plenty of laughs, allow your guide to answer any questions you may have about this beautiful land. Weave through the arcades, side alleys and other places few others than the locals know, stopping at five unique eateries that have been visited countless times by our guides themselves. This tour will offer a variety of delicious street foods which will include takoyaki, karaage, kushikatsu, udon and oden among others. Not gourmet food, but authentic tasty dishes that will fill you up! You will also have the chance to sample some local drinks too, making your night an unforgettable experience!

5.0Andy the guide was very fun and informative. He provided lots of Information about Osaka and the food and the history. He was vey accommodating and responsive and personable. I would go on another tour with Andy anytime. I highly recommend this tour.

5.0Our family try to do food tours in every country that we visit as we find that they not only give you a good sense of the local food but also a good foundation to start your touring around a location. During our time in Japan, we did four food tours, and this was our favorite. Andy our tour guide has a great sense of humor, is very personable and went above and beyond to ensure that all guests were catered to and enjoying the experience. In addition to tasting delicious local dishes, we got a good sense of the local culture, some interesting historical and contemporary facts about the city and just an overall really great evening out. We were travelling as a family of four - two adults, two children (10 and 12) - and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

2.0Paying €82 for this tour after seeing the cost of food in Osaka really felt like a rip off. The restaurants we visited were nothing special and the food was mediocre in most of the places. This tour is definetely not for foodies; it’s for uninformed tourists who just landed in Osaka. I give it 2 stars because Scot was nice, but otherwise I would have saved this money and had at least 5 great lunches in the city.

5.0The entire experience was awesome. Tim was excellent. We went to very interesting spots we would have never found on our own including a 10 seat fried chicken restaurant. It was great value for the price. One of our best experiences in Japan. Sign up you won't be sorry
