Hurulu Eco park jeep safari is a great opportunity to explore Sri Lanka’s thriving eco system with a verity of creatures. Hurulu Eco Park was designated as a bio sphere reserve in 1977 and it’s a very important habitat to Sri Lankan or Asian elephant (Elephas maximus maximus ). The Sri Lankan elephant is known for its migratory behavior and the herd of elephants migrate from one dry zone forests around the area. These herd of elephants migrate from Kaudulla, Minneriya and Somawathiya forests time to time.

5.00We really enjoyed our experience at the Eco Park. The weather was a bit hit and miss but the drivers were so accommodating with the roof and sides when this happened. We saw lots of elephants, the other tour providers got very very close to the elephants and boxed them in, which we didn’t like , but our driver was very respectful and gave them enough distance and drove on when this happened to find others. He was also very knowledgeable about the elephants and any questions we had were answered. We saw lots of baby elephants too as young as 1 month old.

5.00Super nice tour guide, we have seen many elephants and even the smallest animals like lizards he has discovered and shown us, he always tries to park in the shade for us (super nice), but in dealing with the animals he was always respectful (so it was also ethically really justifiable because of their handling , as well as that half of this park is only used for safari and the entrance is primarily used for maintenance etc.) Clear recommendation and a unique experience

5.00It was a very nice tour. There were two guides, and they helped spot animals from both sides of the vehicle. Thanks to them, we were able to find animals quickly and really enjoy the experience. They were very hospitable. It was also reasonably priced, so I highly recommend it.
Super Safari. Seen a lot of elephants!

5.00We had done a safari in Wilpattu before, but this was much better. Our driver/guide was very respectful to the elephants, gave them space instead of hunting them. That's why they came to us and we saw a lot of elephants.

5.00We went on a safari in the morning where we were lucky enough to see many elephants. In the afternoon, we climbed to the top of Pidurangala Rock, where we enjoyed a magnificent view of Sigiriya (Lion Rock)!! Many thanks to Nadeesha for showing us these amazing places. He was very attentive and made sure to take us safely to each of these different locations.

5.00We had an amazing afternoon with Nadeesha and his intern. Spotted dozens of elephants. With quite a few other jeeps around, Nadeesha made sure to minimize interfering with the elephants' ways. Because of that it didn't feel too invasive. He had a great eye for spotting other animals as well. All in all, well recommended! Thank you Nadeesha!!

5.00Absolutely incredible experience witnessing wild elephants in their habitat. Our guides found the most perfect and quiet spots, where some elephants right by our jeep. Beautiful experience and strongly reccomend doing whilst in Dambulla!
