You will be driving your own sled and team of dogs in pairs, an experienced guide will lead your tour on the trail (group size is 20 guests maximum)
- Drive your own team of huskies, in pairs you will share control of a dog sled and team of 5-7 Alaskan Huskies
- Training is provided on how to control your sled and an experienced guide will lead your tour on the trail
- 90 minutes of dog sledding in the Arctic wilderness
- Afterwards, enjoy cake and a warm drink in the Lavvu
- All necessary equipment to keep you safe and warm is provided. Minimum age 7 years
Join us for the experience of a lifetime, mushing your own team of dogs across the Arctic wilderness.
Meet our kennel of over 120 beautiful Alaskan Huskies. These are the running dogs of the Arctic, born and bred with a passion to pull.
You will have plenty of opportunities to swap between driver and passenger throughout the trip, as well as a chance to cuddle the dogs once back at the kennel.

5.00We’re always hesitant to book onto any trip that involves animals, in case they aren’t well cared for. But these dogs are not only well cared for, they are loved to pieces by the staff and the community and they love what they do. They love to work, run and give sloppy kisses.

5.00We (family of four - two adults & 2 teens) absolutely loved this experience and could not fault a single thing. The dogs were gorgeous, the sledding was well managed and clearly explained and the coffee and cake after were delicious and appreciated. Such a memorable day, we would absolutely recommend this.

5.00If you choose only one daytime tour in Tromso, make it this one! We LOVED it. It was so much fun. The tour operator was great. The drive to the facility was less than 30 minutes. The dogs are beautiful and well taken care of. The caretakers are excellent. We had an absolute blast sledding. It's gorgeous scenery and the dogs are just incredible. Would do this again in a heartbeat.

5.00What a lovely experience. Massively exceeded my expectations and I was already looking forward to it. We made our own way in the car to the base as we were only staying 10 mins away. I preferred doing this actually as we got longer to mingle with the dogs so we made our way round them all. Nice welcoming staff. There hasn’t been much snow when we went as it was a freak incident week for Feb but there was still plenty enough for this activity as it was high up in the hills. We needn’t of worried. Our sled flew round. It was such good fun. You could see the dogs genuinely loved it. It was such a fun moment when they all started howling with excitement at the start. Views were stunning and the course exhilarating. It really only is for the physically fit. They aren’t kidding when they warn you of this. The drivers MUST be in good health. The passenger might get away with it but the driver does graft a bit so bear this in mind (and if you intend to swap) There was a curvier couple in our time slot and luckily they were in the group behind us as they kept coming off (clearly hadn’t listened) and the guy looked like he was going to have a heart attack. He had to go and sit outside and skip the cake he was struggling for breath that much. It was worrying. No doubt they ruined it for the people behind them too. Don’t underestimate the fitness required for this activity for the drivers. The hot chocolate and cake at the end were great and they even provided a waffle type thing for my coeliac partner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this experience. I thought it was good bang for your buck. We both walked away smiling.
