Our sit and back combo tour is a tour where you get to try both being the driver and a passenger! Together with a partner/friend one of you gets to drive the team of 5 dogs whilst the other person sits on the sled. Half way you can swap over so the person sitting can also try to drive. On this tour it is two people per sled. We give you a short instruction and mush mostly in our own home made trail which covers a varied landscape. You each get to harness one dog and when back at the kennel can help reward your dogs by feeding them. We encourage full participation so you can also help to unharness and put the dogs back into their yards.

Guests get to meet our dogs, learn how to drive their own sled together with a friend and 5-6 dogs depending on their weight. We are out approx 1,5 hrs to 2 hrs depending on the conditions. The distance is approx 18 kms. Once back at the kennel, you get to help feed the dogs, unharness them and put them back in their yards. We have a fire with coffee and cake and you can ask the guides any questions you may have. From here we take you back to Kiruna if you require a transfer or you can go back by your own car.

5.00We had a great experience at Husky Tours Lapland in early April 2026 - there was just enough snow still to do the full circuit with the dogs. We arrived by car, as it suited us better, but they also offer pick up from the nearby large town of Kiruna. Our guide was full of interesting information about the dogs and took the time to introduce us to the dogs and helped us to get the dogs harnessed up and ready to run. We then took turns to ride on the sled or drive the sled, with a stop for photos. We were lucky enough to get the tour to ourselves and so it was like a private tour. We had hot drinks and a snack around the fire after the dog sledding, as well as being shown around the kennels and getting to meet a few of the other dogs. Highly recommended.

5.00It was a long time me and my girlfriend wanted to try a dog sled tour and it was fantastic! We got a ride from the ice hotel to the kennel, time to put on some warm clothes provided by them, receive some instructions and we soon found ourselves pulled by a group of lovely huskies in the middle of the nature. The feeling is great, the arctic landscape is amazing, the dogs are super friendly and sometimes it looks like they are happier than you when they pull the sled! You have all the time to pet them, to ask for info, and enjoy your ride. We would do it again, no doubts. Thanks a lot Husky tours lapland!

5.00This experience was simply perfect from start to finish. The team picked us up directly in Kiruna, which was very convenient. From the moment we arrived, everyone was kind, welcoming, and professional. You can clearly see that the dogs are loved, well cared for, and genuinely enjoy what they do. We were provided with very warm clothing, and all the rules were clearly explained. We chose the Sit and Drive tour, and the team really adapts to the group’s needs and pace. The routes and landscapes are absolutely breathtaking it truly feels like being in another world. At the end of the tour, we had the chance to unharness and feed the dogs, which was an unforgettable and emotional moment. After that, we spent some time around a fire in a cozy little cabin, enjoying tea, coffee, and small pastries. We had great conversations with our guide about the experience, the dogs, and life in Lapland, with lots of laughs and a very friendly atmosphere. We then went back outside to see the dogs again. Each dog has its own story, and we were even able to choose which dogs we wanted to meet. Finally, we were driven back to Kiruna. I would also like to highlight an important point about animal welfare. I was initially worried about this before booking the activity, but I truly believe I made the best possible choice. One dog didn’t want to run that day, and without hesitation, the team let the dog rest which says a lot about their respect for the animals. Everything went perfectly. The environment is so wild and untouched that we were lucky enough to see moose and reindeer during the tour.

5.00We had an amazing time at the Sit and Drive Combo Tour. The staff were very friendly and competent and gave us clear instructions on how to drive and later unharness the dogs. After about an hour on the sled, we switched and drove for another hour. Due to the small group size of maybe four pairs, the atmosphere was relaxed throughout. Sitting around a campfire with tea, coffee and cinnamon rolls was a nice conclusion for the adventure. Definitely worth the price!

5.00A very nice famille dog sledding tour. Everything is well organized and the entire team is really nice. They explain how the dogs live and look really passionate. We also had time to feed, untie the dogs and spend some time with them. Globally a wonderful experience at sunset and by night.

5.00Amazing tour with friendly guides and adorable dogs. You get to drive your own team of huskies and the guides also show you how to unharness them if you want. The tour ends with a traditional Swedish fika in a tent by the fire. The entire experience is beautiful and carried out in small groups.
