  We had an amazing experience with Katlatrack. From the start, they were very efficient and timely at getting us loaded up. I felt safe on the road and on the glacier. I also really appreciated the stories, legends, and music that was shared with us! The caves were incredible to see and our guide gave us a thorough understanding of how they change and find them and that made me feel very safe.

  This was a very different experience, seeing Iceland's natural features up close. The guide was excellent - he gave us time to explore at our own pace and take photographs. We booked waterproofs and walking boots through the operator as we knew we might get wet. In the end it was a glorious sunny day so we got amazing views of the rocks and in the ice tunnels.

  We had booked the tour through Guidetoiceland and had already received an e-mail in advance with all important information (location, clothing etc.). The whole tour is very professional and well organized. We were packed into a comfortable superjeep by our knowledgeable guide, Jindra, and driven towards the ice cave. The hoppy ride with the great view of the moon-like landscape is worth the tour. During the ride you will be entertained with all sorts of information about the area and the glacier and there will be matching Icelandic music from the sound system. For the tour you are equipped with crampons and helmet and the path is well secured. The cave looks a little different every time you visit, because it is just naturally shaped. During our visit it was still rather small, but there were still great photos, as Jindra went to great lengths to take good photos of all participants. I can highly recommend the trip and the provider.

  Katla was easily one of our favorite days in Iceland. Guðjón, our guide out of Vík, was absolutely wonderful. He played great music from artists I recognized—but had no idea were Icelandic, which made the experience even more fun. He was also an incredibly skilled driver, navigating the tough terrain to the glacier with ease. He was patient with our group as we stopped for plenty of photos and made sure we stayed safe, offering a helping hand through more challenging areas of the glacier and ice cave. He even took thoughtful photos of each of us along the way. The glacier and ice cave were absolutely breathtaking, and we’re so grateful for such a memorable and beautiful day.

  A must do when in Iceland! It's a beautiful area and hiking though an ice cave was so cool! Our guide was really nice and had lots of good information!

  We used Katlatrack for a private ice cave tour with our four year old son. The cave was incredible, but more notable was the care our guide, Guðjon took with our son. Would absolutely recommend.

• Ice Tunnels Galore

  This is absolutely a worthwhile tour, especially with KatlaTrack. I say so since I took a visited another ice cave with a distinct tour company and for me, KatlaTrack delivered a better experience. Their vehicles are newer and in better condition, their guides use headsets to share tidbits on the way to the cave to both inform and entertain, and the guide (Thanks, Davis!) even helped everyone get a nice picture before exiting the ice cave. This is a fun tour that includes a short hike to the ocean caves, which are amazingly cool. I posted a few pic’s that do a better job than what words alone can convey. Enjoy!

  Trip itself was great. Guide was great. I don’t get notification of the ticket until AFTER the trip however. I suppose TripAdvisor booked it in pst rather than Icelandic time where the tour was. The only complaint I have as well as each passenger I discussed with was the choice of loud loud heavy metal music on the trip back. After a climb and a magnificent adventure we all just wanted calming music rather than blaring noise. Otherwise excellent experience
