Korouoma is a millions of years old fracture valley in the bedrock. At the center of the valley, it forms a magnificent gorge that drops over a 100 meters below its surrounding terrain. Korouoma is known for its magnificent icefalls that cover the tall cliffs in the winter. Korouma is hands-down the best destination for ice climbing in Finland. Bliss guide will meet the clients in the morning at the agreed place in Rovaniemi, and has prepared and packed all the relevant gear. Drive to Korouoma, which is located roughly 1 h 30 minutes by car from Rovaniemi. Hike down to canyon, climbing. After climbing brief barbecue in the canyon by a bonfire. Hike up to the parking lot. Drive back to Rovaniemi.

5.00The guides were amazing and supportive and great to have a chat with! The hike to the frozen waterfall was breathtaking (literally) and was an incredible experience climbing up to the top of the waterfall. 10/10 would recommend

5.00We had a great time with Sampo in Korouoma with nice climbing on the Mammuti icefall! We enjoyed it so much that we booked another ice climbing tour with Sampo in Pyhä to work more on our technique and to be able to climb even more. :) We both now are a great fan of ice climbing and will come back for sure! :) Kiitos paljon!

5.00Our trip with Thya was fantastic. It was the best day of our week! Me (56 years) and my son felt very safe. It’s not hard when you follow the instructions. The beaty of the waterfall is so wonderful. And we were allowed to climb it ! Thank you so much for this great experience.

5.00I took part in this activity as part of a 3 day tour with Much Better Adventures. This was the highlight of the tour. The snowy landscape was beautiful on the way to the canyon where the guides installed the equipment in advance. Ice-climbing was fun and challenging! Our guides Tiina, Yepe and Max (+another one whose name I forgot) were patient, went above and beyond to ensure we were safe and enjoyed our time. Lunch was taken on the way back around a fire set up by the guides. Among the other activities offered by Bliss, I’d highly recommend E-biking and the evening at the sauna.

5.00Our guide Jeppe was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and charismatic, everything you want in a guide! The hike to the falls was easy, but the hike up the waterfall was very difficult- not for the faint of heart, but doable. Ice climbing was very fun to try! The hike out of the canyon was grueling, but the stop at the fire and meal were perfect! The extra gear kept us happy too!

5.00Wow wow wow. Amazing tour with an amazing guide. We had a once in a lifetime winter experience. Arthur our guide was professional, helpful, fun, knowledgeable and so friendly. Loved the entire day, scenery is breathtaking. We would book through Bliss Adventures again and again because this was one of the best tours we’ve done in a long while. 10/10 experience, thank you Arthur.

5.00Ice climbing was fun. But Art (Arthur) made the experience feel sublime beyond the activity itself. His sensitive and delicate approach towards nature, ice, and climbing is admirable and contagious. He's super considerate and with you every step of the way + went above and beyond. Would repeat any other activity with Art.
