We will travel 20 minutes from Rovaniemi by minivan and take a short walk to reach the lake. The location is our own private place away from the crowds in the middle of the peaceful nature. The main activity is of course fishing itself, but the frozen lake also offers an ideal setting for landscape and wildlife photos.
Once we reach the lake, we will teach you the basics of ice fishing and enjoy a pleasant afternoon fishing and photographing. We will also set up a campfire in traditional Lappish Teepee and enjoy some hot drinks and snacks – and of course fry our catch of the day!

5.00All very well set up. Guide was excellent making sure everyone was kitted out on this particular occasion to keep us dry and warm. Don’t expect to catch anything during the fishing experience. It was just peaceful sitting on the ice watching and waiting for the line to move!

5.00Very nice experience as this ice fishing activity with our City guide. From preparation to return, everything was great. Ville is a caring, professional guide who willingly shares the customs and lifestyle of the Finns. I was with my 7 year old daughter and, even though the fish did not bite, the place was sublime, the experience of digging his hole in the ice very pleasant and the exchange time in the Kota by the fire was also great. We did the activity of visiting a reindeer farm and sled with Beyond Arctic and, again, it was great! I recommend with my eyes closed.

5.00My wife and I went ice fishing with Soizic and we had a great time! It was a laid back experience on a quiet lake, but not too far out of town. Soizic was very knowledgeable and helpful showing us the ropes. We only had one other couple and a person in training along for the tour. It was very intimate with the small group and we enjoyed the conversation with Soizic very much. I would recommend this trip with this guide!

5.00As a non-fishing person, I initially only went on this tour to keep my husband company but ended up loving every minute of it. The magnificence of being out in the Finnish wilderness for any reason can never be underestimated. Our guide was fabulous - knowledgeable not only on all things ice fishing but also the Suomi culture. I would highly recommend this tour.

5.00Our tour guide is fantastic. He is very thoughtful, patient and caring as he prepared and cooked sausages as well as setting up the camp fire for us in the tentage. He is knowledgeable on which part of the areas has a higher chance of catching fishes. One of our group member had managed to catch a big fish based on his advise and he cooked it to share among us.

5.00Today we tried ice fishing with Oren, and honestly it's his positive energy and knowledge that made this trip 10000% more fun. It was too cold -26c but the tour was so safely designed even as a pregnant lady (25 weeks) it was perfect! We dug our hole and tried to fish, but unfortunately, we started feeling too cold, so we went into the traditional teepee tent and lit a fire and had some hot chocolate and sausages. This tour was super enjoyable, and what I loved the most was the amount of pictures Oren took! Highly recommended to go ice fishing with this company and do request Oren! You won't regret it.

5.00Our guide, Emilia, really put effort in to our experience. Because of her knowledge we all caught some fish! The lake was so quiet and peacefull and sunshine topped our experience. Our guide was also so kind and gave us some tips to to see the northern lights by ourself and the best restaurants around.

5.00Our tour guide Emilia was wonderful. We had fun fishing so much! She picked us up/drop off at the hotel so we didn’t have to worry about transportation. Next time, we would like to try other tours. We recommend the tour 100%!

5.00This is our second year with this company, and we did 7 tours with them between two years. Every single tour was interesting and fun in the different ways. My 8/9 years old loved the ice fishing. He said this is one of the best thing he ever done. It’s not only fun to fishing on ice, we also learnt so much about the locals life, culture and lots more. Oren and Anni ( our tour guiders) are both being amazing. Friendly, professional, informative and you can tell they are proud and interested at what they do. And they tell us so many interest facts, and they also go extra miles to make our tour even more fun. Of course, we got some fantastic pictures and videos from Oren. He is experts That’s just something cannot be done by ourselves. My boy already said he want to come back again soon.
