Your ice fishing adventure begins at the pick-up point in Tromsø, where you’ll set off on a scenic drive to the fishing spot. From there, you’ll take a short walk down to the frozen fjord and experience the thrill of fishing on Arctic ice.
You’ll have the unique opportunity to catch your own fish in one of Norway’s most stunning natural settings. After your fishing session, you’ll head to the cozy basecamp, where you’ll learn how to clean, prepare, and cook your catch the traditional Norwegian way.
While you relax in the heart of the Arctic wilderness, you’ll hear fascinating local stories and gain insight into the region’s fishing culture and history.
Once you’ve enjoyed your freshly prepared meal and taken in the peaceful surroundings, you’ll return comfortably to the pick-up point in Tromsø.

Ice Fishing on Ullsfjord starts at the pick-up point in Tromsø. From there we will drive you to The fishing spot and walk down to the frozen sea. On this trip you will get a unique opportunity to catch your own fish. We will prepare the Fish With you, if you catch one. If we catch any fish, you will learn how to prepare and cook it. After the fishing trip we will drive to our basecamp and prepare a local meal with you. Our basecamp has a fantastic view of the Lyngen Alps. There will be told local stories, and you can relax in the middle of the arctic wilderness. When you have learned about our local history and are well rested, we will drive you back to the pick-up point i Tromsø. We will provide you with warm outerwear, fishing Equipment, Lunch, warm and Cold drinks. Guests must bring their own warm mittens, cap and underwear. Winter shoes are provided by special request.

5.00We had a wonderful time ice fishing with Karin and Oskar! They provided us with everything we needed, and their sense of fun and humor kept things fun and entertaining even when the fish were not biting. 10/10 would definitely book again!

5.00We really enjoyed this ice fishing experience. The excursion was well-organized, and the guides were friendly. It was really special being able to go back to Karin's home to cook and enjoy the fish we caught!

2.00The guide is very sunny and hospitable, provided crampons and additional clothes to those who needed them. After ice fishing, a couple of hours, in which messone of the group caught nothing, took us to his house to eat the fish burgers and socialize with the rest of the group. I do not rate that the experience is totally worth the price especially in this period when the guide himself told us that there seem to be no fish due to work on a bridge of the fjord. L

2.00Disappointing experience, it's practically impossible for you to catch anything, we were 12 people waiting still in the cold moving our arm. Not a single fish and from what we were told it was usual. Very nice guides but would have preferred to do another activity and the inordinate price for what was.
An adventure with a personal touch

5.00Karin was out guide for the fishing on the fjord. Pickup was easy at a location in Tromso centre. The snow was really coming down heavily, and the trip out was exciting .. Karin’s driving felt safe at all times.. we arrived without incident even though snow plows hadn’t cleared the roads very much at the time. A short walk through a snowy landscape and we were at the edge of the fjord. We each got to drill our own ice hole and were given an ice fishing 101 instruction on how to use the hand lines and what to do if we caught a fish . We caught a few cod , one of which was big enough to take back for cooking Back at Karin’s home , the fish and some really tasty fish burgers were barbequed in her quaint little hut. After some hot drinks, marshmallows cooked on the hot coals it was time to go. A really lovely experience .. Takk 😁

4.00Cute experience, the 2 guides available and friendly, Too bad we didn't take anything, but after they hosted us at their house where they made available various drinks and prepared food for us, took photos and videos with a drone too.

5.00We had a wonderful few hours ice fishing with Karin and Oskar - although we didn’t catch anything , Oskar caught 2 lovely Cod. Karin hosted our whole group (15 people) at her home afterwards, and we all enjoyed fish burgers and home made chocolate cake plus the Cod. I’ve never been on a tour quite like this, so personal and welcoming . Highly recommended!
