5.00We had an incredible tour to the south coast. The beautiful sites included waterfalls, glaciers, and the black sand beach. Our guide, Niells, was exceptional as our driver and tour guide. He was informative. fun, funny, and helpful. He made the outing quite fun and interactive. Highly recommend!

5.00We had a great experience with Paul as our guide! Weather conditions weren't great, but Paul safely got us around. He was very informative and took us to locations that weren't even on the itinerary, it was fabulous! He was friendly and gave us a wonderful tour of the South coast. Would recommend!!

5.00A fantastic tour of approx 450 km which includes visits to a couple of spectacular waterfalls, a walk up to a glacier, a visit to the black sand beach and a lunch stop at Vik, the most southerly town in Iceland. Our driver, Guna, was excellent, extremely knowledgeable about Iceland, its history and geology. She invited questions from her passengers and was eager to share her knowledge. The stops at the viewpoints are adequate given the amount of coast covered by the tour. It did leave you wanting more at times because the sights are stunning. We took sandwiches on our tour so that we didn't spend time buying food at the restaurants. We ate our lunch sat on the dunes overlooking the beach at Vik. On the homeward journey we had to drive through a mountain pass where we encountered strong winds and heavy snow. Visibility was poor and the road was icy and covered in snow. A couple of articulated lorries were stuck on the hill which Guna had to drive around. She did a fantastic job in difficult driving conditions and we were soon driving back into Reykjavik which was in sunshine. Iceland's weather can be very changeable so be prepared with adequate warm layers. We had a brilliant day which we will never forget. Thank you Guna 😊

5.00Beautiful sights along the road out and almost like a different experience (viewing from a different angle) on the same road back. Lovely tour guide, Sergio, who takes great joy in sharing stories and sagas along the way. His passion is contagious!

5.00A good day out covering some wonderful places. Due to weather delays en route some of our stops felt a little bit rushed. I would not recommend the cafeteria at the Black Beach: waited half an hour for food. Time which would’ve been better spent watching the Ocean as it’s an amazing place and when my food came it was rubbish anyway. The south coast is beautiful, but some of the stops do deserve a little bit more time. I think each of our stops was cut short by about 10 minutes or so so that we could catch up on time lost travelling. This might not have mattered as much except some people had booked to go on the northern lights tour in the evening so we had to get back to Reykjavík for them, which was a little bit frustrating. Overall, it was a good day but felt a little rushed at times

2.00I don’t write bad reviews. This is my first, and I genuinely wish I didn’t have to — but I’d want someone to tell me, so here we are. I was travelling solo, and by the end of the day I was just mentally drained. The south coast itinerary is solid and the stops are the right ones — but our guide Wendy made it hard to care about any of them. The waterfalls were just waterfalls. The mountains were just mountains. The glaciers were just glaciers. No history, no context, nothing. We stopped at a church that wasn’t even open. We froze for an hour before someone finally asked her to turn up the heat. Lunch was so short that some of us never made it to the black sand beach — which was the whole point of that stop. Toward the end, a snowstorm was coming in and we had to head back early — fair enough, safety first. But she kept reminding us out loud that she’d be stuck in Reykjavík overnight if we didn’t make it back in time. We’re paying customers. That’s not our problem to carry. When we asked to be dropped near our hotel — on her route back — she said she didn’t know Reykjavík. A different guide the next day explained the actual reason in about five seconds, no issue at all. The only thing that made the day was the other people on the bus. Genuinely great fellow travellers who made it bearable. Book the tour — just hope you get a different guide.
