This is the perfect trip for nature lovers, photographers, and experienced hikers hoping to avoid the busier main tourist path and take time to focus on a deeper immersion into nature.
The hike starts with a short, steep climb from the car park before we detour into a rarely used hidden trail that winds its way through the forests, mountains, and lakes. As we hike, your guide will take time to highlight and sample different species of plants, berries, mosses, and lichens, and provide insights into local fauna and cultural heritage.
The final section of the hike culminates in a mountain top with spectacular views of Stavanger, the Lysefjorden and Preikestolen from above - views not seen by the majority of hikers! After enjoying these views, we descend down to the Pulpit Rock to enjoy peering into the fjord below. After a relaxing break here, we choose our preferred return route back to the trailhead.
Can be adapted to suit cruise shore excursions.

5.00I'm really excited. Everything went smoothly. Although I was the only one who booked the tour that day, it took place. I was accompanied by a super nice and experienced guide, Erlend, with his dog Balder. We did not go the main way, but the remote way through nature, where he could tell me a lot about the plants, animals and history of the region. If you really want to experience Norway and nature, away from all the tourism, I can really only recommend this tour to everyone.

5.00Just had the most amazing day hiking up to Preikestolen with Alan as our guide. Wow! What an incredible day! If we could have given it more than 5 stars we would have done. From the moment that we were picked up, to the much needed coffee at the end, we were entertained, informed and most importantly, expertly guided off the beaten track to the most incredible viewpoint. Would thoroughly recommend this company. Thank you to Alan and his four-legged friend, Balder.

5.00We absolutely recommend the hike with Stephan, a great guide. He took care of us all the time, he took pictures of us at the better spots, and he he guided us trough side trails were we could felt the peace and sound of the nature in solitude. Above all he is a true gentlemen and thanks him we had the best experience in our trip in Norway. We have hiked in diferent places and this has been one of our top experiences. My advise: don't miss hiking in Stavanger area and follow Stephan everywere. Thank you for a wonderful day!

5.00Thank you very much for this tour. The tour is wonderful. The guide Stephan is wonderful and knowledgeable. He told me a lot of things about Norway, helped me to take pictures and videos. The food of lunch is also delicious in a cozy restaurant. Although it is only me on the tour today but the tour still runs without cancellation.

5.00Sean communicated clearly with me before the hike. The day before, he suggested amending the departure time from Stavanger to allow for the weather and on the trail he made a couple of changes which we appreciated. I felt Sean was always conscious of the conditions as well as our comfort and safety. The weather was not the best but getting off the busy main track was a joy (as was the cup of hot tea and chocolate when we reached the top). Sean was informative and interesting and the hotel pick-up was on time. All in all, I would highly recommend this trip. Avoiding the busy main track was wonderful.

5.00We had an unforgettable hike to the Preikestolen, off the beaten path through the quiet woods. Our guide led us along an old trail where it was just us and the sounds of nature. Reaching the viewpoint in such peace made it our best adventure yet!
