We do not have any control of the flow of tourists coming to the most visited island in the Caribbean during the busiest times of year.

El Yunque National Forest
Our day will begin with a moderate to medium level hike, discussing local flora/fauna native to Puerto Rico, as well as key roles these played in our indigenous roots on the island. FHike is about 20 min into the rainforest (approx. 1 mile, or 4 laps around a track.) Upon arrival, we will set any belongings we have brought with us to the side and continue up another 10 min (.25 miles) to the natural water slide where we will be swimming. Life vests will be provided. Once every guest goes down the water slide, we will return to where we left our belongings to enjoy some small but exciting jumps and rope swing. For all your hard work we will cut fresh seasonal fruit! All activities will be recorded and photos will be taken throughout your journey! Photos or it didn't happen!

Drive yourself/NO TRANSPORT
Meeting Point: Meetup will be at Frutera Flores (Carr. 3 km32) @ 7:45am, 11:45am. You will follow the guide in your vehicle to the trailhead
Duration: 4 hours: Shorter since you’ll have your own vehicle, the longer tour includes pickup/dropoff time
Your own vehicle: Same tour without transportation included. For locals or those who want to take advantage of their rental vehicle. NO UBER

5.00Diego was a great guide and we had so much fun trekking through the rainforest and cooling off in the river. Our whole family did the rock slide, the cliff jump and the rope swing — so fun! Diego took excellent care of us and made sure we all felt safe. The fresh local fruit snack was a nice touch.

5.00Our tour got rescheduled twice due to heavy rainfall and flash flooding conditions, and we're genuinely glad it did. The operator prioritized safety over getting every booking out the door, and that speaks well of them. The day we ultimately went on was perfect. We met our guide Diego at Frutera Flores in Luquillo. Pro tip: get there a little early and grab an acai bowl. They're excellent. Diego was an outstanding guide. He clearly loves the rainforest and shared fascinating facts about the flora along the way, pointing out things we never would have noticed on our own. We had our 7 and 10 year old and he was patient but firm with them, which we appreciated. The hike itself is not super easy. There's mud, wet terrain, and some challenging climbing, but it's very manageable with the right footwear. Closed-toe shoes with good grip are the move. Keens for the kids and Tevas with good traction worked great for us. The waterfall and natural rock slide were both incredible. The climbing to get there felt challenging but safe because Diego was right there with us. We also can't stress enough how much it mattered that we had a small group, just 8 people total across two families. Other groups we saw had 20 or more people. The difference was significant. We moved faster, could actually hear Diego when he was explaining things, and the overall experience felt personal rather than rushed. If you're debating between a large group tour and this one, choose this one. Ask for Diego.

5.00We went on Thursday, 4/9, morning at 8 am with our tour guide Nelson. Nelson was knowledgeable and amazing at explaining all details and history of the trip. The rainforest is fun and it is definitely a family experience you don’t won’t to forget. Make sure to wear good shoes with grip because it is intense.

5.00Our tour guide Sebastian and his female partner was exceptional. They were both knowledgeable about the El Yunque Rainforest tour. Sebas was a great tour guide. He picked and brought back my son and I for the Adventure tour. He was patient, kind and fun. This was a new experience for me rock climbing. It was fun especially crossing the water to the other side. If I come back again I would do the El Yunque Rainforest Adventure tour again. Love San Juan Puerto Rico😘

5.00This trip outdid my expectations. The waterslides, the cliff and rope jump was very good. Sebas was very patient with our group for pickup. We were running late and he did stay back. He is very experienced and made sure all the people in the party were comfortable and willing to do the activities. Those doing were encouraged if they had second thoughts. He is experienced and knows his way around the forest. Thank you Sebas. We enjoyed a lot.
