Guide was very knowledgeable and made a lot of effort to educate the group about the history of Chile and the trip. Driver was very good and we felt safe the whole time. The wine at the Vineyard was very good and the price per bottle is hard to beat. The lagoon and the drive up were as expected. Driving down the Caracol road and stopping to admire the view was the highlight for me. Highly recommend the tour and our guide Alvaro and driver Alejandro were top notch.

I (37 yo female) took this tour with my 70 yo aunt on one of our 2.5 days in Santiago before an Antarctic expedition. Given our short time to explore Santiago and the surrounding area, we both felt this tour was an excellent value for our time and money. Please bear in mind that your pickup and drop off time (and overall tour schedule) will be affected by the number of others on your tour and where everyone is staying - like any city in the world, it takes time to get to all of the various hotels and traffic can vary day by day. Our tour guide, Victor, and driver Alejandro clearly did an excellent job at pre-task planning the night before the tour to determine the best pick up and drop off routes to ensure maximum tour time. Victor will communicate with you via WhatsApp. We were picked up at 7:20am and had another hotel stop after us. Victor explained at pickup that they aimed to have us back in the city before rush hour (we were touring on a weekday). This worked out nicely so we could still fit in a leisurely dinner in the city afterward. We ended up running a little ahead of time overall, so we weren’t rushed at the initial gas station stop to use the restroom or get snacks/coffee before continuing on. We were first to arrive at the In Situ vineyard so plenty of time to take stunning pictures without any others in the background, to utilize the large outdoor table to sit as a group and learn about the wines, and have time to use the restrooms, explore, and even gift shop. There was no rush at all. Others have commented on whether they consider this a tasting based on having a couple small glasses of two wines - but I certainly would! We tasted two wines with great back stories and then were able to “help” drink the rest of the bottles if interested while we all explored around and shopped. Then it was off to my favorite part - Los Caracoles (The Snails) - the impressive and stunning switchback road that leads up through the Andes. Alejandro was a master at driving this road! Even passing semis at times - exhilarating!!! We were able to stop at one of the lookout locations halfway up and Victor took pics of everyone. We continued on up to the Ski Portillo resort and breathtaking Inca Lagoon. We again were the first tour group to arrive - some of us chose to go all the way down to the lagoon for some amazing pictures and to feel the chilly waters, while others went on into the resort to peruse the gift shop and wait for the restaurant to open. There was plenty of time to enjoy the lagoon and eat at the restaurant (which we did, and it was great!) - or you could bring some snacks/picnic and enjoy the outside the whole time. Up to you. We then made our way back down Los Caracoles and stopped off at a cute little restaurant (didn’t eat or go in there) to walk around their barnyard for a bit. This is where you can mingle with the llamas and a donkey or two and pet them (as the animal allows 😉). Being an animal lover, I enjoyed this time. Finally, we made our way back to Santiago and many of us got a good cat nap in! I cannot say enough good things about our guide Victor. He has a very interesting backstory and speaks perfect English. He’s a wealth of knowledge and a comedian. He truly found his calling in this profession! Request Victor when you book and be sure to ask him to serenade you with some traditional Chilean music during your ride! Jason Momoa ain’t got nothing on Victor!!! 😁

The Inka lagoon is a beautiful place and well worth visiting. We enjoyed the winery stop too. We had a difficult day due to the road being blocked because of a major truck accident. Our guide Alvaro and our driver Juan did everything in their power to make sure this did not ruin our day. They took us to an amazing restaurant for lunch while we waited for the road to reopen. We got to see the lagoon even though we did not get back to Santiago until 10pm.

Triple check your pick up information - my hotel was initially accepted but then the night before we were informed that it was never an available option. Thankfully, the tour guide and driver were accommodating to us and we were were able to resolve it. Great time seeing the Andes, though the trip is majority driving

We enjoyed our trip to the Inca Lagoon. Alvaro was an excellent tour guide, who provided plenty of information on the area. We also had an enjoyable time at the vineyard.
